Go to: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records
Follow the instructions on their website. I had to do this to get my updated records during my break in service. You are entitled to a one time issue of all your earned ribbons and medals. Also they will generate a DD 215 if your DD 214 needs updated to reflect changes after you have left service, and give you your complete service record as well.

Consider medalsofamerica.com or call [login to see] . You can get a free catalog showing military insignia, ribbons, medals, and more--but all for a price. They also build shadow boxes for your military history and can provide miniature ribbons and badges earned. I've used them for years.

Is there a way to get my military medals and decorations, without buying them from an Army Surplus store (since I earned them)?

This is the eVetRecs Java applet website. The space is limited, you'd need to sigh it, fax it back, and not lose the reference number . Ask for!your personnel and meeicalmfiles, not you wamt both, separately, along with your decorations, any retirement/burial flags, I think, as well, and also Presidential certificates, in the case of veterans already passed away. You'll find it quite useful, I bemused it sevl ti!es, for my records, as well as those of family, hope that is of use, many thanks.

When I sent off for the free reissue they sent me 2 Navy Good Conduct medals in stead of the medal and the ribbon. I even sent them a drawing of the ribbon I wanted and have heard nothing back, it has been more then a year.

AR 600-8-22 tells how to go about getting a replacement set of awards and decorations. You can google it and download a PDF version.

Do you want for the wear of your unform or personal? I have direct phone to order them from HRSC veterans site but it takes awhile but it's all free.

This is for building a shadow box for my own "Love me wall" at the house. What is the phone number you have for HRSC veterans?

I got a set of my medals when I sent a request for a copy of my DD214 from the National Archives. They sent my list of medals to DPSC and they sent a free set.
SFC Bruorton is correct about MoA; not the cheapest place.
Could also use AAFES Clothing Sales as the next best source. They also have a mounting service cheaper than MoA.
