I have reported flagrant parking violations such as this...in the case I reported, EMPTY parking lot, Security Forces car parked in the handicapped parking spot closest to building (no lights on). I walked up (out of uniform) and informed them they were parked in a handicapped parking spot. They acknowledged that and told me to move along. I witnessed an additional member come out with coffee and donuts. I logged the license plate of the security forces car and the time/date. All 3 were wearing jackets that had no rank/names on them....I reported this up through the Commanders action line. I got feedback the following week stating that all 3 were relegated to foot patrol of the base perimeter for at least the next month.

Handicap parking spots may be moved as mission needs (we do this occasionally where I am stationed) HOWEVER: it is for such things as maintenance, force protection measures, and such... Inspection teams, Base Commander (higher then the BN Commander and BN CSM!) are normally either in the next closest parking spot OR in our "traffic circle" which is a "no parking, patient pick-up/drop-off" zone.....The ratio of parking spots to handicap parking slots is pretty much a governed thing....Must abide by type of issue. IF this photo is true, AND the Handicap parking slots were not relocated (and appropriate), then I feel that the BN CC/CSM are WRONG and I would call out either one or both on it.

Step 1: Wait for the handicapped parking spot to be filled by a vehicle that doesn't have a placard
Step 2: Remove white sign hanging over the Handicapped parking sign
Step 3: Call it in
Step 4: Pull out your smart phone and post the results

That is the photo that I am looking for, but I am hoping that some on here know this facility USARC in Green Bay WI. An they will call the facility manager which is the 432 CA BN. So not likely that will do much good. So the next step is to contact the 88th RRC an let them know that this type of actions are going on at their facilities. I am just the conduit for a lower enlisted Soldier drilling at this facility. So please post you discust at this type of Command infuance this Commander and CSM are displaying. Maybe the CA community will contact the commander and correct the wrong that they are displaying. Thanks for all your comments and keep this going

If you have personal knowledge of this situation, why don’t you just report it?

Pretty sure it is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

So it is Sat 11Apr at the Army Reserve center in Green Bay, WI I guess the Handicap symbol painted on the asphalt was not a big enough, CSM and Commander parked in the spots anyway. I don't understand why with all the NCOs and Officers that are at this facility have not said anything. But I guess when you don't look around at you surrounding you don't see things that are out of the norm. The Soldier that took the photos was questioned why they were taking photos of the vehicles. I am hoping that this gross over reach of power is corrected.

I would hope and pray the sign was placed there as a prank or maybe someone disliked that person enough to put themselves at some professional risk by implying a certain lack of ability...... My personal belief is that any leader who would actually usurp a handicapped parking spot by virtue of his authority needs........"reeducation?"........ I see below where this is a reserve unit which makes it all the more important for the leaders to set the proper example. If, as has been mentioned, this is a repeated offense it needs to be addressed properly from above.

I think it's overreach....but...the signs look like they are printed on paper and taped to the HC signs, so it may just be something temporary someone did for an event or something along those lines. I would honestly need more context to be very upset about it.

SGT Hanner this is a Reserve Unit Battalion Commander that has taken 2 of the 5 spots for Handicap Soldiers or Family members that might be visiting the Unit. This is not the first time as it was done last month that I have been told about. The main thing is that the Commander and CSM are parking in Handicap parking stalls to be used by Those that are truly handicapped. You have to see the big picture, this facility has not had maked parking spaces in the years that I spent at this facility an to take two handicapped spots is just crazy. Someone that thinks he/she can make there own rules.

MSG (Join to see), there's that context I mentioned. Then yes, I say overreach.

No this is at a Reserve Unit in Green Bay Wisconsin. An it seems that this is not the first time this has happened. As you can see the 432 CA BN took 2 of the 5 handicap spot set aside for legally handicapped Soldiers And or family members.

Disregarding the parking stall, the first thing I recognized is this facility. I know this facility, and I know it isn't protected by a chain-link fence. It is accessable to the public. May as well tell ISIS or any home grown terrorist who the BC and the CSM is.

Well they had better move then. Anyone who doesn’t confront them has no class. Those spots are for the disabled. Not 2 individuals that should be in excellent physical shape according to standards. Why have the cops not ticketed these people?

Wouldn’t have any attention on them, if they weren’t drawing it to themselves.

Rank has it's privilege. Especially when you are getting away with a post policy violation... And otherwise absolving yourself of command responsibility.
