ISIS CLAIMS responsibility for the Texas Shootout at a Muhammad cartoon contest. IF SO, What do YOU think ISIS has learned?

This is a serious but not so serious post about what lessons ISIS might've learned when they Messed with Texas. What are you thoughts??
"Authorities say the suspects, identified as Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, drove up to the building where the contest was being held in the Dallas suburb of Garland and opened fire. An unarmed school district security guard was wounded before a Garland police officer returned fire and killed both men."
So they drove up to the gate and basically committed suicide by cop. Nothing was accomplished except for two more terrorists sent to hell. I like that outcome. And really, why should we give a rats about hurting their wittle feewings when they are hell bent to kill us all???

The ISIS connection to these guys was limited to some tweets from fighters in Somalia and Syria... I don't know if that's a true ISIS connection or not.

Considering the fact that it seems that only islam is protected by the media, and any criticism of the infiltration in our Western societies is deemed Islamophobia, without even trying to addressing the questions of their well documented intentions to create a religious based government and laws that clearly be detrimental for women and children as well as other religions, there seems to be no other way to stand up

It happens because information isn't criminal. They knew he frequented terrorist sites and had conversations, but nothing they could charge him over. At some point, you decide the guy is a bag of hot air and move on. Most of the time, they're right. Most of the time.

How do we balance scrutiny against oppression? There's a lot of people out there spouting rhetoric and bad mouthing their "food trough". More often than not they're just blowing smoke for the sake of appearance. How much money and time do we spend on these blowhards? How many serious threats can slip through while the attention is on the mouthpieces? How intrusive do we want big brother in OUR own lives while they're monitoring for threats? The formula for this equation is far from simple..........

Hopefully nothing! Because I really like the idea that Achmed (the dead terrorist) has a couple of new friends. However, if I were writing an after action report I could think of several mistakes they made.

These Achmed wannabees had no idea what they were doing. Apparently, they did not know that the police had snipers on the building and they had no chance of making it inside the building alive (without a diversion). Other things they could have done include: Drive around the block a couple of times to see where the guards are. Shoot at the armed guards first. Place a sniper to cover your entry. Enter from different locations at the same time. Drive your vehicle into the building rather than parking in front of the entrance. Possibly enter dressed as an attendee.

I'm not sure ISIS had anything to do with this really. Not in any formal sense anyway. So what did they learn? There's an expendable sucker born every minute and maybe, just maybe, shouting random calls to action on social media works.

Actually, I don't think they care about that. They are, however, propping up the lunatic fringe that thinks ISIS is massing in Mexico or has secret training camps all over America. If anything, the claim foments division within the US by setting those who demand radical action against those that think there are moral limits.
What they'd REALLY like to see is the US turning on its Muslim citizens and residents. That would shut us out of the Middle East completely and end any hope we have of positively influencing outcomes in trouble spots like Egypt, Libya and Israel/Palestine. It would also probably hang Tunisia out in the breeze too, and as the only successful example of the Arab Spring (incidentally, also the only country where protestors didn't employ violence), losing it to extremists would be a major blow to the future of moderation in the region.

The Mexico Claim, I have heard from one of the border agents, is pretty legit. I got a warning call before the military printed anything. But, people are so closed minded, they believe they'd kill the Mexicans because they are infidels. Not if they have an agenda they won't.
I believe they tested Texas and realized that this was not a great state to perform a major Jihad in. The 5 states they listed are Blue States. Coincidence, who knows, but if the American-turned-ISIS member has some input, they will relay the message about the ANTI-GUN states.

As someone who lived for years on a border and has lots of border agent friends, I would take that with a grain of salt. Most of them are clueless and getting their info from the same shady places the rest of us are.
The challenge to the Mexico claim isn't that ISIS would kill Mexicans, but that they and the Cartels are so ideologically opposed that the relationship wouldn't make sense, even for money. Never mind that the last thing the Cartels want is to get caught smuggling ISIS into the US. Just ask the Medellin Cartel what happens when we catch them engaging in terrorism. They serve their own interests and ISIS/Islamic terrorists really have nothing to offer them that has a decent cost/benefit outcome.
As for the states claimed, there is one thing I'll give ISIS. They are good at propaganda and they pick their targets well. Many of their propagandists are either Westerners or Western educated so they know where the divisions are and how to kick hard at the wedge issues. In other words, if anything ISIS says confirms something ideologically for you, consider it with caution.
