If this had been an unarmed fight, I'll take the chimp every time. The chimpanzee's strength to weight ratio versus a human is off the charts. A primate like a chimp or gorilla, without any training or strength development, can literally tear a human being apart, limb from limb. If a human fights an enraged primate, the outcome won't even be close. Only a weapon in the hands of the human could change the outcome to favor the human.
