I remember seeing the Desert Storm cards but never purchased any.
I have 2 sets of OIF cards which were titled something like Iraq most wanted and produced by Hoyle.
To me the OIF cards were very interesting and intriguing. I was glad when I learned that the individual on each card had been killed or captured. I wonder if an ISIS playing card deck would be useful in Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Jordan and this country.

Here is the packaging for the foils and some samples of the Desert Storm cards, I think I have 3 unopened boxes in one of my closets.

I had two of the complete sets, and most of a third, once upon a time.

I was assigned to the US Embassy Kuwait in 2000-2003. I was the chairman of the American Employee Welfare Assn and hard to imagine we were broke when I took over (incompetence & theft ruin any monopoly) and we got a great manager for our bar and gift shop and she ordered up 5,000 packs of those Iraqi Most Wanted Cards (with Saddam as the Ace of Spades) from an outfit in Texas that used the US Embassy Kuwait seal & Hoyle Joker. They sold out in a few days as collector items. We got a copyright notice from Hoyle so all the remaining 120,000 decks that were sold had a joker with a public domain Joker. If it is a Kuwait Embassy logo deck with the Hoyle joker, you have a pretty rare deck. One is on display at the USAF Jag Museum room at Maxwell AFB, AL.

Thank you for sharing a great story Maj Mike Sciales. I am glad you had a quick thinking manager and that it took a little time for Hoyle [another near-monopoly enterprise]. I had to chuckle at the idea of a public domain Joker which sounds like the beginning of a joke :-)
