SPC Donald Moore - His own admissions. He seems proud of the fact, actually. He even went so far as to say that he expected to get the ear of the politicians he made "contributions" to, including favors and such. Look it up, he's on video.

There should also be fiscal declarations floating about somewhere for rather large sums which he donated directly to Democratic candidates over the past 30 years.

You need to be specific.
Are you talking about the 2 out of 3 that want Trump?
Are you talking about the 1 out of 3 support Hillary?
Are you talking about one of the candidates?
When you make a cryptic response, you should clarify if asked instead of continuing to be cryptic.
Unless you simply don't want to voice an opinion. You have the option of keeping your opinion to yourself. I can respect that too.
I can't respect you talking to me like I am an idiot when you started the ball with a cryptic statement.

SPC Donald Moore - Thanks for your input, but I choose not to take your advice. If you didn't read the article referenced, why should I explain the contents of it to you? Would that make you feel better if I did. Point being, the title stated vets choose Trump 2:1, how is that confusing?

Active Duty service members should not be commenting or voting in this poll. Yes we have a right to vote and we should exercise that right to vote but our job is to support the Chain of Command in a non-political or non-partisan manner regardless of whether we like the individuals or not. We keep our politics and our votes to ourselves.

This should also be a reminder to AD service members that commenting could violate DOD rules regarding Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces.

"These rules are designed to prevent military members' or federal civilian employees' participation in political activities that imply -- or even appear to imply -- official sponsorship, approval or endorsement, officials said. The concern, they explained, is that actual or perceived partisanship could undermine the legitimacy of the military profession and department." - US Army website on Rules restrict political activity by DOD personnel https://www.army.mil/article/71574/Rules_restrict_political_activity_by_DOD_personnel

Feel free to vote and discuss amongst your friends but be very careful about making political comments online especially since there is a lot of identifiable information about service members on here and having that information could put you in jepordy of violating DOD rules.

You are correct that SMs should be cautious online. The Turkish soldiers, police, citizens will be finding out about that.

You question did certainly receive a lot of responses which is always good for a healthy debate. I just want to make sure active service members are protects since they still fall under a number of rules. Just putting out a reminder since we don't want to lead them down a path that could ultimately hurt them.

From your post: "Both groups can sign nominating petitions for candidates and express their personal opinions about candidates and issues.

However, officials emphasized, they can do so only if they don't act as, or aren't perceived as, representatives of the armed forces in carrying out these activities."

During the 1992 campaign, we were advised that once the election was completed, we could no longer make "Clinton jokes" as he was the incoming commander-in-chief.

The bright side, I retired in 1994 and my uniforms have shrunk, so I can't wear them to political activities.

First, I know someone who actually was a Secret Service Agent in the White House under the Clintons... and I have heard some VERY UNFAVORABLE things about her behavior. The kindest thing was that she would run around screeching "Biiiiiilll!!!! Biiiiillllllllll!" and Bill would run and hide and ask to not be outed. Not that he probably didn't need a watchdog, because he did, but still. You wanted to be the First Lady. So try to act like a LADY. The rest of the things I have been told were UTTERLY HORRIFYING. Rude, tacky, racist things. Why would ANYONE want to elect THAT to the highest office in the land?? Second, some years ago, when the Gold Star Mothers were in DC, they went to visit EVERY congressperson. And THE ONLY ONE who refused to see them was Hillary. Based on that, I can't imagine that she has ANY regard for the military. Or Veterans. Or the Wounded Warriors. Third, there is the matter of the rape trial she was involved in back in the late 70s. Where she tore down a 12 year old girl, called her a whore, said she asked for being raped, etc. She RUINED that little girl's live. And then she LAUGHED, because she won the trial, and the rapist escaped justice. And a little girl was destroyed. How is that FUNNY??? And the list goes on. Benghazi. The willful disobedience with the e-mails. And on and on and on. This woman cannot be trusted. And after all the BAD she has done in the world, why should we REWARD HER with the highest office in the land? She does not, not, NOT represent the American People. She only serves herself.

LT Louis McKellar - Well, not really. Lol. I am trying to remember that I AM supposed to act like a lady. I know she's incapable of it. You can put her in designer outfits, but it doesn't change what she is under everything. It reminds me of something my Grandmother used to say "You can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse." No, no you cannot. I laugh because there is a series of spy/adventure novels, some of which were written in during the Clinton years... and Hillary was called "The Shrill Queen" in them. I find that hysterical.

A factor that contributes to the lopsided numbers is the values of those who serve versus the values of those who take. Our military members serve their society and respect honor - part of our creed - but unfortunately not all who seek to govern share those values. Many of us older types remember the Clinton years and Hillary's outrageous claims of landing at Sarajevo under sniper fire. The Clintons really are not "military friendly."

Over my whole career I heard, and in a few cases saw a double standard with Command. Anyone who votes for Clinton will just reinforce the behavior. You will need to keep quiet while your career goes down the tubes and the responsible individual brushes it off. Voting is your chance to say "NO, you won't have a different standard" Besides her E-mail debacle, I fear for all of you active duty people that she will continue the current policy of not shooting terrorists on sight, but waiting for them to engage you first. It has already cost lives and serious injuries.

Because he is unknown and willing to say there is a lack of support for veterans, while she demonstrates she could care less about the security of this nation. Most of us who served belief security is important and when it is treated so lightly by our leaders - then we all know - they (she) cannot lead.
