Yes, I have used it. If you are going thru the mobilization process (CO-ADOS) you will see your packet status on MOBCOP.
There is also a search function in which you can see advertised tours based on rank, MOS and location.

Thanks for sharing, CSM (Join to see). It seems your records must be 100% during the application process or risk not being accepted for something simple.

I have been getting the same response all day I think it has something to do with updates that were pushed that is affecting multiple .mil sites
I am having problems getting in right now. I can get into my ako/enterprise e-mail and HRC just not this web site.

Sir, its been like this for a while, the last that I heard it may be like this for quite a while longer. They changed the ability to access the site from civilian networks for security reasons. We can only access it on a military installation now it was suppose to be a temporary fix but I heard that what ever the exploit was, it wasn't an easy fix and from what I am getting no one is even working on it right now.
So the site that should be for the Military's half civilian force can no longer be accessed by more than half the force. I live near an installation and the only public access is the MWR library and the NEC does not them on the .mil network. So it seems that you literally have to know someone on post, bring a second CAC reader and ask them to violate their MOU to get tours now.
I don't know about ARNet, if you have access to a AR computer or Citrix...MAYBE it'll you can access it. I've heard rumors but not heard a confirmation that it worked.
Hope this helps.

SGT (Join to see) no issues with the Arnett it's just too damn slow. I was at Fort Sam Houston for a couple weeks while I was on my 2 month active duty tour 4 Maple resolve in Canada and I made sure to put my information into Tour of Duty. I'm going to get my PHA squared away in a week. It may all be in vain because I'm a get a decision within a month if I get to be the deputy commander of a brigade. If that gets decided in my favor, then no Tour of Duty for me. Thank you for letting me know!

SGT (Join to see) Tour of Duty can open up opportunities if the unit you work with or work alongside with likes you or likes your performance. Thank you!

Currently, I am in the process of getting my orders approved. This is my results, which is still currently on going. I actually applied for a PFI (personnel force innovation) tour. Little did I know, that all the information I uploaded to PFI, would eventually turn into a reserved TOD job for me to apply to. The PFI team actually takes the information and builds the job ID request and reserves it with you social sec number, so only you can access it. Which is a nice thing because it limits the job to strictly you applying. Right now on my TOD, I'm tracking the actions. I just received the BDE green light but its like the chutes and ladders game, difficult going on, easy to come down. I haven't had any issues yet with it, but I do have concerns.

Have patience with the process, SGT Heller! What you described is exactly how it worked for me. You do have to stay on top of everyone in the approval chain to keep things moving forward.

Yes, I have used it several time. Even right now I am currently on a tour that I have found on ToD.

Awesome. Any tips for those who may be interested? Anyone you think SHOULD be interested in ToD ?

ToD is really designed for NG/Reserves (IRR,TPU,DIMA ect) who are interested in going on active duty orders. Most of the positions are created with someone already in mind. The one that I am currently on however, was a position that I saw and applied. One thing that I do is to ensure that my ToD resume as well as NCOERs, APFT cards and DA 330 (if you have tem) are always up to date. Another thing that I normally do is, if I see a position that I am interested in, I first e-mail the POC for the position and to make user that they are actually accepting applications. Hope this answers your questions. If you need more or are looking for specific information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It is currently only accessible through a .mil network. Change seems to have taken place early January.

CPT (Join to see) - over-compartmentalization hurts readiness and the people who are interested. That is messed up if you can't do this from home.

It works and everyone's comments are correct. My perception is most Soldiers are chosen on a by name bases. They have to put the position in the system because they have too, but they just chose some one they know anyways. I applied for maybe 20 positions and was called back for one from a command that did not know me and ended up taking a different position based on a by name request.

I agree with CPT Young, it is usually who you know. I probably applied for 20 positions as well, no takers. They post these positions in the interest of "fairness" and to objective in the selection process, but we all know that is not the case 90 percent of the time.

I have a applied for quite a few positions, then I emailed the POC listed because I am convinced the requestor knows who they want for the position when they post. This way if that person falls through, they have me in mind. I haven't had much success yet but I am fairly new on the site. Additionally, some of the positions posted also seem to be past due but are still listed.

Sounds like a great idea to follow up with the POC to show your level of interest.

I agree with both statements but I sometimes feel apprehensive to contact an 0-6, but absolutely I apply to jobs all the time on TOD one has contacted me back out of 17 and yes a lot do seem past due.

Absolutely. It is a tedious process and you are definitely competing against others for the job. Its important to make sure you have permission from your current command to pursue the duty position otherwise you are wasting time. If you've got any glaring deficiencies or your records, etc are not up to date, I'd say don't even bother. If you're good to go, and have a green light from your command, then it is absolutely worth applying for a position. Just be ready for it to be a fairly decent process. It can take anywhere from 2-6 months.

If you don't put in the info that's required for the duty position you're likely to get passed by. When you look at the individual positions they list required documents, etc. at a minimum you must have those.

I'm not sure. I only applied for the one duty position. But you can check the notification section once a week or so and it will tell you that the duty position has been filled or otherwise.

SGT (Join to see) - When you are passed up, this will be shown on the "Notification" tab in ToD (right next to "Home" tab. Once you go to "notification" it will say things like "position filled", "decline soldier" ect, depending on the circumstances.

SGT (Join to see) Yes, I was selected for a stateside tour at Fort Dix, NJ. Then they told me they were PCSing me as opposed to TCS (which had just been discontinued to save funds). In the end, I turned the tour down.
It works, but it is s SLOW process.

I went to the post library today because I can't access this site from home. So I typed in the web address and it asked for a user id and password. I'm a reserve retiree trying to volunteer for a tour, now I'm totally stumped.
