Hello fellow Veterans! I moved to Greenville, SC at the beginning of August this year and, having had a great Veteran Network in Charlotte, looked for somethings similar here. After a month of searching hard, I found out there wasn't one. So, I created one.
We had our first meeting on Wed, October 14th at Brewery 85 and 17 Veterans showed up. We all left there feeling like something big was about to happen, so we are sharing this with as many people as possible to be a part of it.
There are several ways to connect, besides here on RallyPoint:
We have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GreenvilleVeteranNetwork
We have a Meetup Group: http://www.meetup.com/Greenville-Veteran-Network/
We have a LinkedIn Group: https://www.linkedin.com/grp/home?gid=8360289
And you can follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/GreenvilleVets
Please check it out and join in the fun! We have several meetings scheduled and look forward to seeing you there!

1Since this first meeting in October, many exciting things are happening. Here are a few:
1. We have attracted over 200 Veterans to our online communities across LinkedIn and Meetup.
2. We are having 3 events per month: A coffee, a luncheon, and an after hours event. We plan to have a semi annual event starting with a Gala on Super Bowl Sunday this year.
3. We now have a website where we are connecting with corporate sponsors and linking to Veteran Focused organizations to increase visibility of resources available to Veterans throughout the Upstate: http://www.upstatevbn.org
4. Connection within our organization have already begun to get Veterans GREAT jobs they deserve, pass business and increase sales opportunities, and create deep and meaningful relationships that mimic (to a certain extent) the camaraderie we experienced in the military.
5. Our connections and actions are beginning to get notice among the local Chamber of Commerce and other business organizations along with Veteran Employee Resource Groups in large corporations such as Michelin and GE.
If you want to be a part of any of the great things this group is doing, please connect with us here on Rally Point, LinkedIn, or Meetup! Links can be found on our website.
