Well I would be tactful in my approach
Also the hands in the pockets would be addressed depending on their reaction (non-verbal included) I will inflect as necessary

Hands in the pockets is big No-No in my book. True story, I told a Private to take his hands of his pockets, and to make the story short, he slapped me and I punched him back... That's what I call impromptu corrective training; even the First Sergeant agreed with me.

Yes he did... Even to this day I'm still baffled. From what my peers told me, he received an Article 15 from that incident and also the 1SG saw me trying to correct him up to the point of him slapping me and me punching him back. I think that was the first time and the last time I punched someone that fast and hard in my entire military career.
