I suppose it was a joke. More or less. But I'm thinking of that inauguration photo, and the lack of attendance. Or the Russian connection thing. Or a myriad of others. I'm 69 and I've never seen the media lie this much. Off limits? Nah. But my wife says I should stop watching them if I think they're liars. I guess I could put them off limits in my own house.

SPC John Waisman - Concerning the inaugural event- the photos did not lie and neither did the media in this case. There is video evidence along with other ways to verify. Thr numbers were low- unfortunate but true. Converning Russia... there are many thoughts to the multiple events connecting or perceived to be connected to Russia. There is alot of recent history to come to many possible conclusions.

Concerning sources, watch the bait and click sources and I know I always use multiple reputable sources to ensure I have a good flow of info to make a well informed decision.

With all that said, maybe this chart may help: http://www.businessinsider.com/here-are-the-most-and-least-trusted-news-outlets-in-america-2014-10

That's a great chart, and I will take it on advisement. I have tried to go between Fox, CNN, Huffington Post, The Guardian, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and more, to find out where the concentric circles of truth overlap, hoping to figure out what's really going on. I've seen the picture of the inauguration that seem to show a huge crowd. And other pictures depicting a minuscule crowd. Hard to know what's right when you have conflicting "facts."

As for the Russian thing, John McAfee from McAfee Antivirus (I think he was bought out) did a piece on You Tube about that. It's good and probably accurate - though I'm no expert on cyber security. If McAfee is right, then all the posturing that "Russia did it," is a non-truth.

Are there examples of deliberate inaccuracies from the other side of the aisle? Yeah, there are and through my life I've watched them in the news. And I'm blown away that the youth of today have no idea what their *real* history is. My guess is that this kind of misdirection has been going on since mankind has developed the skill for forming large governments. I don't like it, but I think it will continue. On the other hand, I love my country. Not because it's perfect, but because it's what I've got, and because it's a better place than most. Again, great chart. I'll make BBC part of my repertoire, since it's number one on the list of trustworthiness.

Tons of stuff. And yeah, I know both sides do it. Probably the public would have to put them off limits by not watching them.
