I would rather be a pirate because you can stay up late, get intoxicated, get paid, get the ladies, and get up late as much as you want.

I know I'm a bit late on this one, but this one was waaaay too funny to pass up!

Gotchya, i havent read anything else in the post, but i was a fan of Deadliest Warrior, what happened to it anyway? they run out of historical figures?

Well I better toss my thoughts out there...
On one hand we have pirates who are are loud, crass, drink heavily, have cool swords, and shoot guns. When you need something blown up, they are the engineers of the sea. On the other hand we have ninjas, who are quiet, stealthy, and also have cool swords. The downside to ninjas is when you need something done, or someone killed you can never find a ninja. Come to think of it, I never see them at all!
As a 12B I must say I relate more to pirates than ninjas, though being in the Army does not allow me to sail the high seas, the low seas, or any seas in between.
Based on the Lego models I found, I say Pirates are the way to go.

Arrrrrrr. That not be a "shotgun" laddy. That be a BLUNDERBUSS! And that be no "sword" that be a CUTLASS! But this be the day of the nuke navy and so we hang them from the highest mast or antenna and keel haul them at test depth (or just shoot them out a toreeddy toob)

Running some stats on the outcome, I find an interesting contrast:
25% more enlisted chose Pirates over ninja
30% more Officers (including warrant and ROTC) chose ninja over Pirate
Is there some officer secret we are being made unaware of at work here?
Or perhaps it is just that NCO Business is more frivolous and Piratical in nature where Officer Business is more serious and subversive? What is your take on this?

LTC Charles Sherman and Cpl Ivan Hicks, one of the best officers I ever had the privilege to serve with was former enlisted... and one of the worst, would of made one hell of a ninja... (haha) He could creep up on us like no body's business and kill the mood without uttering a single word...
