If you were the POTUS, would you use the one of the most known symbols of the presidency, "The Oval Office" to broadcast your views?

Why doesn't your POTUS do so?

CSM Charles Hayden, there was a big article about his use of the oval office today. He spoke from the oval office last night, but had a podium placed in front of the desk. There was a lot of conversation about using the oval office as the back drop for its' effect, but that Obama is more comfortable speaking from a standing position.

It can also be Obama feels more comfortable speaking from other places. Who knows. I think any time a POTUS wants to do one of the "official" speeches, he feels he has something worth saying.

If it was an important message I wanted to impress on "The People", yes I would. I believe Obama has 3 times. Maybe he feels deep inside most of what he's got to say isn't that important, or doesn't want people to pay that much attention so he can slide things by.
