This has become a point of contention for some. Do you think that this hinders your experience on RP by letting one know you are viewing their profile? I am a bit scared why 1SG (Join to see) is looking at my profile so much.

I do it sometimes just to freak people out. I can tell it's working when they start looking at my profile.

I totally agree that the 6 degrees of " the Saluting LT" is a real thing. Every on RP can be traced to it.

Hmm, I think either he was trying to remember if he had been stationed with you somewhere or maybe a huge fan of yours

Alright LT, making me think we have a cyberstalker amongst us....of course I think my mom is my only cyber stalker, and that's on Facebook.

Cyberstalking of your own children is part of the job description for any 21st-century parent, which would include your mom.

For some ethnic groups, this function extends to include stalking desirable marital partners for said children...

First Lieutenant Rosa,

Being able to specifically see who has viewed your RallyPoint profile echoes to how LinkedIn works as well: You can see who has recently viewed your LinkedIn profile. I find that this feature can be, both, beneficial as well as concerning. It's beneficial, because a user can see who exactly viewed their profile, and then can proceed to communicate with that user, especially if they share anything in common. On the other hand and as how you described, this feature can be worrisome, especially if the same user repeatedly views your profile numerous times, which can "block out" any notifications of any other user(s) who may have recently viewed your profile.

I would like to add a caveat to my response to this poll, however. The feature to see who specifically viewed your RallyPoint profile should be optional and left to the choice of the individual user. I am certain that some users would like to see who viewed their profile, while on the other hand, some users may be indifferent, or might be concerned that the same individual is monitoring their RallyPoint profile.

I am personally indifferent to the issue, as anything that I choose to share online is fair game to be viewed by everyone.

I am also indifferent about it. There seems to be a lot of questions of the intent of it when it first came out.

I find it useful to know who is cyber-stalking me.

Perhaps there could be feature where it doesn't notify you every time, but if you wish to see who is checking your credibility or whatever you can...

If you had only 28 views and few connections like I do, I can see. But still, don't feel bad, sir. They will come... Everyone is just curious about you, that's all.
