If odds are better for SFC as 92A, then I wouldn't risk starting from scratch. But that's just me.

As a former 35Z, most of my senior 35Ps managed personnel and their respective missions. They didn't sit rack, collect and use their language as their primary mission. Is the primary goal getting promoted? If the goal is a challenging job using cutting edge technology with post-military job opportunities, then 35P will offer that.; BONUS a good 35P will easily be able to retire as a SFC minimum. If the primary goal is just promotion and money, maybe stay where you are.

CSM, as an airborne qualified 35P will I be able to negotiate and land an SOF slot after graduation? or is it always up to needs of Army?

SSG (Join to see) You don't get what you don't ask for. Odds are better if you speak a low density language IMO. Get your wings, see if the airborne lifestyle suits you and then submit a 4187 if you do not get it outright. Good luck - Airborne All the Way!!
