I believe in a distinction between the Office of the President of the United States and the person in the seat; President Trump's "tweets" to date don't reflect that distinction or the dignity of the office.

In theory it's fine for POTUS to have a Twitter account, but in the hands of a thin-skinned narcissist who has zero message discipline (or personal discipline, for that matter) who uses it to rant, attack, and settle personal scores, it is dangerous.

Twitter is inherently un-Presidential -- statesmanship does not fit in a 140-character limit.

I believe the President should use any means at his disposal to communicate with his constituents. I believe that the communication should be professional. Why not use all available technology to his benefit? When the radio was invented President Calvin Coolidge was the first to broadcast the State of the Union Address. When the television came out, President Franklin D. Roosevelt broadcast a message to the United States of America.

Of couse not! His Twitter is a great platform to communicate with the American people. Not to mention it is his 1st Amendment right.

Yes, but so should all politicians. It is not a means to convey opinions on the serious issues of the day.

Why not? Should we leave such serious duties to the prime time players on the alphabet soup comedy roundup each day?

That's Commander-in-Chief, David. Try actually making separate lists of statements made by both the POTUS and the media and you'll find it's the media that's being truthful. If you or others disagree and comment, please don't expect me to reply if you don't provide examples.

Kinda looks like we did march on Washington the day after the inauguration. Trump just couldn't make that happen in 2012 when President Obama won, but it sure happened in 2017 protesting his win, which was truly a travesty.
