Should RallyPoint develop a challenge coin to give out to top contributors?

Before this august body considers the development of a coin to honor top contributors, we should realize that not everyone out there will be able to achieve a perfect 300 on their Rally Point Test (RPT). Now matter how much I type, I will never be an RPT stud like Staff. Sgt. Burns, Maj. Bartlett, et al. <div><br></div><div>Sadly, sometimes I get writers block, a medical condition beyond my control. I believe there should be a provision for creating a Rally Point Profile for those of us who, through no fault of our own, are unable to post enough to be top contributors. There was a time in my life long ago when I could score a 300 on an RPT, but now, I am just too busy to write and my scrivener's palsy (writer's cramps) prevents me from typing more than rudimentary phrases such as LOL, OMG, or TLDR.</div><div><br></div><div>Perhaps, instead of recognizing the best of us with awards we could instead give something to everyone to make them all feel better, like a beret (unless someone already tried that). Alternatively, we could create an RPT belt that we could wear at all times. </div><div><br></div><div>Just trying to be helpful, LOL OMG, Etc.</div>

It is a digital community, why not a digital coin. A Challenge Bitcoin. Good for one Bitbeer.

Or along those lines, just another icon to add to our profile, ie blue ribbon award, top 1%, etc

I love the idea, but see the potential in that becoming a spam fest on the boards..

I would be concerned this may violate the traditions for award of a hard earned challenge coin or other decoration for personal service after due consideration by the leadership or members of special elite military unit.
I would worry this may be seen as crass commercialization of heart felt military tradition.

I totally agree, 1LT Sandy Annala, but if they're ever developed for any reason, then you should receive one of the first issued!

I can see the potential in offering a coin, maybe a few t-shirts in a store front, but as far as RallyPoint giving back,..., I'm not seeing ads. I don't know what their revenue model is, but as far as I can see they don't need to give anything more than the perceived value those of us who are using the site apparently are already receiving.

Could those that receive it then claim they are part of the RP Special Forces??? LOL

I could see it as a way for people to overload the boards with non-essential chatter to try and get the top contributor. Maybe they could develop one for purchase or through some sort of give away.

Are they not giving back by not charging for the site?
I mean it takes quite a bit of time to run a site. All they ask is that we be respectful and decent.

Why not make a coin available for purchase? I could see a store being added to RallyPoint with items available for each branch of service. Shadow boxes, coin displays, and more. :-)
