Not really. &nbsp; We already get Blue Ribbons, Silver Power Usage Badges, Top 1% (etc), Trail Blazers, Thumbs Up, Light Bulbs, Thought Leader, etc, etc, etc for our efforts on RP to answer questions and mentor or learn. &nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Sometimes I think we get distracted from what we really should be doing if we are hunting for awards/rewards instead of coaching and or learning from our peers. &nbsp;Lets just concentrate on each other and not worry about more gedunk - real or virtual.&nbsp;</div>

I like the idea of a virtual coin. As far as wading through the "spammers", the Mods might have to take time to research the winners' posts or other activities on RP to determine eligibility.

Another idea popped in my head while writing the first paragraph. We could incorporate a nomination process as well.

I have to agree with most of the folks posting before me. I think it would cause more spamming of the boards, as well as take away from the "hard-earned" aspect of challenge coins.

I don't think so.  It's an expense that I think RallyPoint doesn't really need at this time.  Good idea but just don't see it ending well.  And other said before, it would probably lead to people spamming the boards.

I think it would be pretty obvious on who is actually contributing and who is trying to rack up points.

One would hope so.

I agree with that but a lot of people will just start posting to receive points instead of valid information. It should be strict guidelines on how to receive this reward.

Good idea, LTC Jason Bartlett. They're doing those monthly awards now, which is nice. It seems that the RallyPoint team is trying to recognize top contributors, and I think that's swell.

Well, it isn't a coin, but they do give out a nifty 50 cal bottle opener with your name and RP on it from Bullets2Bandages.

I see no reason to try to bring some sort of challenge coin into this. This site is all virtual, no physical coins needed. Maybe a virtual coin, but not a physical challenge coin.

Just give those who qualify more bonus points as incentives for influence and information or some other icon on their accts. Maybe a virtual coin icon?
