Yes, It flies in the Face of Separation of Church and State and as a Christian I find it Objectionable and contrary to Matt 22:21 Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, Give unto God what is God's.

No.
Didn't bother anyone until someone that doesn't believe in, were aware of or had an opinion of God, told people to.

Absolutely not! This is a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and America is a Christian nation - not by decree but by the mere fact that most Americans are Christian despite the representation of many other religious philosophies among the population. Unfortunately, our incompetent, empty-suit and unaccomplished president has declared that America is not a Christian nation despite the Founding Father's reliance on their Christian beliefs and values and their incorporation into the very foundation of America, hence "In God We Trust."

Actually, the first declaration that the United States is not a Christian nation ("As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,..."was in a treaty negotiated by George Washington and submitted to the Senate for ratification by John Adams. It was ratified by the Senate in June 1797.

Further, the placement of "In God We Trust" on the paper currency only dates to the 1950s - hard to tie that to the Founders. Rather, it was attempt to differentiate the US from our opponents in the Cold War - "Godless Communists." Despite what many believe, it was also not a national motto until the 1950s, either.

So our nation should be a shamanist /naturalist nation, since this nation, America was founded upon the lands of natives who believed in the spirits on nature and their ancestors, that is until Europeans came and imposed their beliefs on these lands and people.
