Please do not comment if you are still serving in the Military in some capacity; a/o where potentially your job, livelihood, or position could be at risk.

I think it's not enough to ask, "should we teach CRT"? We should teach the truth about what happened in our history, and there are very few people who can even define what CRT is! Is someone qualified to decide what should be taught in school if they can't even define it?
Without the statistics and relevant information, it's not much to teach. and even then, it's just a smally thing that could be taught in a Sociology class in a short period of time. The history of sociology in the USA.

Carl Marx once wrote a book - The Communist Manifesto. In it, he talked about class division between the rich and poor. His writing became what is known today as Marxism - the foundation of Communism. Communism requires a class struggle. Communists in the West realized that with a large and successful middle class - their version of Communism didn't create too many converts. So, a new form of Communism was created, replacing the Bourgeois and Preliterate (Rich and Poor) with class division based on, among other things, race, sexual orientation... of course the old trope of the Rich taking advantage of the poor is still part of the schtick.
If you are asking "Should we be teaching Critical Race Theory in our military universities and perhaps in our leadership courses?" as a serious question - open your eyes. Leftist Woke Identity politics is destroying this nation - leftists, aside from voting for liberal socialist (ie. Communism lite) Democrats are pushing laws and policies that are bankrupting this Nation.
Anyone with 1/2 a Brain can see that CRT is a main platform of Leftist Woke Identity politics - anyone who supports is working on the side of this Nation going the way of Rome. Wake up Dummies.

You need to listen I am not racist I train Soldiers of all races, all I saw was a human. Right now you should open your mind and eyes and see that the party in power right now are coming after you and our freedoms. We are in early NAZI in this country and anyone speaks up is wrong. Free speech is censor if it doesn't meet the left thinking. As for Jan 6 there's to many open questions that are not being ask. By the way read USA history and you well learn the US Government was and still the biggest Racist, and southern Democrat's where slave owners and started the KKK. Jim Crow laws where southern Democrat's also. Look up the 13, 14, and 15 amendments.

SFC (Join to see) - I have to agree with you! But do you know why people keep going to church? I do, it's because we aren't perfect and need help. Some just go to fit in and look good, collect whatever help they can get. Not all christians are a Christian Satin has plants all over the world the same as our government do, inside and out!

From what I have read, CRT is based on the idea that everything people do is based on race based prejucice. That denies individual worth and is prejudiced in itself. I am not saying there is no one who does that, but to throw everyone in that box is way over the top.

It is interesting to read through the responses to this question. One side uses cogent arguments backed with facts, at least for the most part. The other side uses personal attacks, again for the most part. That offers a answer in itself.

SFC Jerry Alexander - You are not wrong, but beyond this basic fact remember the warning that our first President issued, "However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion" (Washington's Farewell Address, 1796). As a nation we have not heeded that warning.

SFC Jerry Alexander - Back in those days they were! Right from England to the Native Americans. Then they tried to civilise the indians. More like Hitler and the Jews!

With limited training time, marxist indoctrination and anti-American propaganda should not be mandatory any more than classes praising Hitler. Uf you hate America,, read on your own time. China is not brainwashing treason in its officers.

Are talking about learning about racism in this country or are you talking about teaching children that a particular race, white people, are automatically racist? Because that is what CRT teaches.

SGT Bruce Savage fascinating. Could you provide us a copy of the CRT curriculum where that's stated?

Absolutely not. It is basically most of it is an indoctrination that if your white you need to apologize to all other races for being white. Yes I've read it. Sorry not happening. Educate yourself instead of being lemmings. , USAR Retired, Disabled Vietnam Veteran.

This paper is from 2004 and is a follow up for a paper from 1997. People claiming "CRT isn't taught" are being glib. It isn't that the advanced social/legal theory itself is being taught, it's that the tenets of the theory are being applied through curriculum based on praxis of the theory. https://eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ781916

In the attempt to gage innovative approaches to school leadership, this article seeks to investigate the possible application of Critical Race Theory (CRT) to school leadership. Expounding on Solorzano and Villalapando's application of CRT (1997), the hope is to engage the field of school leadership with constructive critique and suggestions for administrators who are dedicated to social justice and the well-being of students and staff. So far, Rallypoint leans on the side that we shouldn't teach CRT in our military universities or leadership courses. You also might have noticed that I voted up your comments. I did this whether I agree with your stance or not. I simply enjoy discussing these issues on this forum and I gain knowledge from how you all respond. Thank you all so far.

SGT Jose Perdelia-Torres Excellent post... great response! I believe most on RP don't have a clue what CRT encompasses. I believe our history should be taught at the appropriate age in schools as well as those in leadership positions. Good Job SGT Jose Perdelia-Torres !
