Should we Ignore Terrorism but Celebrate Gay Pride?

Accuracy in Media is reporting that the Obama administration is ignoring terrorism while celebrating gay pride. How do we veterans and service member feel about this? Please bear in mind, this is not an anti-gay question on my part, it is news that is making the blogs. I actually happen to like most gay people.

I suspect 99.999% of terrorists want to kill gay people... so it might take a while for a gay terrorist to show up.
That said, how on earth can any sane person think we are ignoring terrorists? From actively bombing ISIL in Syria to NSA spying on Americans to CIA drone strikes in Africa. Now a single Tomahawk Cruise Missile costs about 1.6 million dollars... and it's capable of throwing one heck of a dead terrorist pride event. The unofficial policy is fairly clear, we kill them every chance we get, an official policy would only generate legal scrutiny our assassin in chief would prefer to avoid.

Obama actaully admitted not having a policy on how to deal with terrorism of the threat of extremism. He still has not began to even figure a policy out.

You need to get your facts straight LTC Romanick. If you go back and look at the post about showering, I never said I did not want to shower with gays, I was simply asking a questions for which i wanted some insight and i got plenty of it, most of which I appreciated. And if you do reread it, you'll see by my responses I have gay friends and I have no problem with them whatsoever. The article posted above was something that came across my hundreds of daily emails which only proves that the Obama administration is fixated with gay issues as they are spending a fair amount of time promoting it.

I say we celebrate all of our differences and just live our own lives. As long as you are not cooking meth in your house, I do not care waht you are doing in there. Terrorism is a different story. We are ignoring the home grown threats as well as those overseas.

I feel that it is a Travesty! A Pure waste of time and effort. Nearly EVERYTHING that ht POTUS has done is to weaken the US Military. Not only is he ignoring terrorism, but he is releasing the terrorists a few at the time and has ordered that the US Army train muslim fighters that may well be part of Al Queda. What part of all that is NOT Giving Aid and Comfort to the Enemy? Yet the liberal left will say "Aw look, the Army is open to gays....." Yet they themselves are too sorry to volunteer their liberal asses to serve. "A Man SERVES HIS COUNTRY, he does not make excuses why he did not" POTUS should be required to be an Honorably Discharged Veteran

He has certainly had a more thought out and widely communicated policy on gays in the military than he has on the war on terrorism. He still has no actual strategy for combating ISIS and others in the region (or around the world).

LTC Bink Romanick . This is at least the second time you have asked someone what their strategy would be regarding ISIS. That is simply a deflection. My job is not to create our strategy for ISIS. The President has the CIA, DIA, NSA, DoD an almost limitless number of resources to advise him etc. It is his job to create the ISIS strategy, not mine or yours or anyone else. He is elected and holds the office responsible for doing so.

SGT Efaw (Mick) G. The path he has charted is not working. ISIS has more territory than ever. Yemen (the country he used as a great example of success) is crumbling as we speak. Iran is stronger than ever and he is giving them a path to a nuclear warhead a future president will need to deal with. He intervened in Libya to overthrow Khadaffi and now the muslim brotherhood and ISIS are taking it over. Can you point to one solid result? Not interested in lofty rhetoric about it, just results.

we should not celebrate gays at all. What has our country come to now? Our military never did this back 10-20 years ago. Our country has gone to shit since our president encourage his kin to do so.
