"(Unit Name withheld) BCT ordered to remove combat patches during training at Fort NoMatter so the ones without them don't get ‪‎hurt feelings‬.

Reason? "The unit just returned from Afghanistan and almost everyone has a patch but the large influx of new soldiers are E1 and E2s that have never deployed and they are saying they are left out because they don't have a patch."

Things have sure changed since I left the military. Sensitivity? Suck it up butter cup. If you didn't go you don't get a combat patch. Honestly also people are not lucky nor happy who went to combat. Maybe lucky they made it out of there with out loosing a limb or worse. They are experienced and deserve to wear it.

There was a time when senior NCOs took new recruits out of basic and made soldiers out of them, not pamper them. If this is what the NCO Corps has come to nowadays?

Are for real? Has the Army and it’s leaders become so politically correct that they want to do away with combat patches so no ones feeling get hurt?

A case of the liberal minority ruling over the majority. Remember, personal feelings are an important issue these days.

The soldiers that earned those patches are listed on their DD-214, file, should be able to wear ever patch earned that is legal. That can also notated by Regulation by your UIC at your Battery, Battalion or Higher chain.

These snowflake kids are a real problem. Prior to them, we had the "no-fault" generation. Most of them were never taught respect, responsibility, dedication, I could list a few others. They weren't taught to respect their own property; much less others, weren't taught to be responsible or accept a responsibility, for the most part, their biggest accomplishment is a well developed thumb control(for texting), and/or good joystick munipulation. For the most part, they were never taught they had to "earn" their way, "earn" respect, or "build" their character!

At least during the draft, they kept their mouths shut, done what they were told and got the hell out. Everyone from 18 + should have a tour of duty, builds character and responsibility. Cut this sensitivity bull once and for all.
