Should we remove combat patches to be sensitive to those who don't have them?

How did I know just what branch of the military (military?) would be involved in this pathetic
garbage? Why not just wear jeans and a Tee shirt so civilians feelings will not be hurt. Bunch of butt hurt children. And I'm not talking about the brand new E-1's and E-2's. I have never heard such garbage until I joined a group that was multi branch. Hint. I do not hear this crap from the Navy. It makes me somewhat ashamed that we Marines poke fun at the Navy.

I earned mine, and will wear it. If you are that sensitive, you should probably be in the Air Force.

Suck it up to the new recruits. You wait around long enough and you will earn yours. I went to war. They said that since I was in the Big Red One I can wear the One on each side and that is my combat patch. Other then that I have none. Was a front line mechanic and fought in the war in 91.

Seeing my team leader with a combat patch made me want to have one. And how special is it when you finally get one? Suck it up butter cup!

Your Brigade is a bunch of Nancies. Are you going to remove your rank so soldiers aren't threatened by authority. How stupid is the new-army? I tell you what, anyone ordering the removal of CIBs is in for a fight.

I think to say crawl before you walk and walk before you run doesn't quit get it. I would say if they really want false valor then I don't want them beside me. Those patches are earned and if they are really so petty and self centered then that alone proves the point that they Do Not deserve it yet. Why is this even a blip on the screen, seems like these troopers need some PT so that they can refocus on reality and the gravity of their chosen path. Take them to a VA hospital let them see a different type of patch just to gain some perspective, I think that should be part of initial training anyway.

the E1s and E2s who ARE THAT SENSITIVE! These people will prove to be useless after seeing "their" first DEAD BODY! I suppose pulling the trigger on their weapon at the KD Range and the resulting
noise and recoil will cause them to faint dead away. Lord, please protect our Combat Veterans, the
Old Pros who have done it all and seen it all. Some sad day when they have white beards down to their boots and are suffering the after-affects of a life spent Soldering to keep our nation safe nation,
some sad day these old As* Kickers may have to be recalled to plug the holes in The Army's Ranks.
