Who is more highly respected? A Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, A Warrant Officer, or a Commissioned Officer? And Why do you believe this?

The ones that treat their subordinates, peers, and superiors with genuine respect. That don’t think of themselves before others and accomplishes his mission . This is whom I respect, because they are devoted to their country and the team,

Warrant officers are more respected, though in many cases it's really the Senior NCO who is both resident expert and professional. The Army would gain a lot of strength from removing the warrant officer ranks and shifting to SNCO positions for many career fields. Even in the technical fields, SNCOs are making things happen. I see every day when officers ask questions, SNCO tells them the correct answer, they argue, Warrant tells them the correct answer, they nod and say okay. This response is toxic and pointless. Listen to your SNCOs

We obv didn't have warrants where I was while USAF, they were of course being phased out, though while I was Army ROTC I did meet one for a discussion we were given when we were taken to a research site, for those of us with research inclinations, I actually found him quite interesting to listen to, meeting him was rather a novelty, I think he was at least a CW-3 or -4, I don't quite recall that aspect, it was quite some time back, of course...in the ROTC unit I was in, we had a REALLY senior CSM assigned as unit NCOIC, as well as a pretty comparably senior MSgt, I also got to meet numerous SMSgts, as well as CMSgts where I was...my own unit had a MSgt who'd been an O-3 who'd been RIFd, he'd been given the option to finish his 20 yrs. as enlisted, he went in as a SSgt, I knew him just before he finally retired as an O-3, when he was MSgt, as I'd said...where I was, also, one of the system project ofcs (SPOs) was actually headed by a CMSgt, that was apparently the first such instance of a SPO being headed by senior enlisted in AF Systems Command (AFSC), I remember reading, in our installation newspaper...just some thoughts about the whole topic, for whatever they might be worth, hope were of at least some interest....

SNCOs are on the ground, with the troops and actually have “been there, done that”. Soldiers know who they are and have heard about the NCOs.
Officers do a short time in a platoon, little more in a company and then they’re insulated from the “boys”. Sure good officers are appreciated but they’re only “good officers” because their were great NCOs mentoring them.
Warrants are in their positions due to technical abilities and NOT to lead soldiers. I’m really not sure why they would even be included in this survey.

Not voting on this. Respect is earned, not automatic. The rank and position are respected because that is drilled into us since inception at boot, but the man or woman that wears that uniform, rank and holds that position is a different story.

I've served under far too many ass clowns that were walking cluster fucks that simply could not be respected. Respect has to be gauged upon the individual and their actions. Do their actions match what they say? Is it honorable and true? If not then no respect is due for the person, but always for the rank and position.

It has more to do with the person than the rank on the collar. Now, having said that I have not met a warrant officer who did not know his stuff.

The correct answer is those who earn the respect of their troops, all others are given the basic no frills rank respect but those who really earn it get the I would follow you into a an industrial grade wood chipper no questions asked . Not that a highly respected leader would ever do that :)

Respect is earned, but we do have to have respect for the rank.
