This reminds me of my scouting days with bacon stretchers, left handed smoke shifters and sky hooks.

I remember from either BSA or USAF: smoke shifters, sky hooks, left-handed monkey wrenches, and maybe cable stretchers, plus maybe others I've forgotten, but not bacon stretchers. Also some thing where you were made to watch the sky while you had water poured down your pants; and joining the Royal Order of Siam where you chanted "Oh wah tah gu Siam" until you got the message.
