With the recent amount of stolen valor it is hard to keep up with all the different threads being posted here on RallyPoint. From this point forward if you have a stolen valor question, comment, and or post, then add it here. The posts that currently exist will stay, as we don't want to lose the already existing discussion content. If you have started a stolen valor post prior to this and wish to have it merged to this one then feel free to let me know and I will merge that for you. The initial post will be gone but the discussion content will be merged to this posting.

NOBODY puts the mandarin collar up! And oh yeah - CIB but no combat patch; subdued flag patch in garrison. And nobody's calling him out for having his PC on inside? Even my kids to that!!!

As far as the ISAF patch - we may as well make that permanant to the uniform anyway!

He also wants to fight.
And I quote his post from 4 September:
"AND IF YOU A REAL MEN COME AN GET SOME I WILL BE WAITING AND REMEMBER WHAT COME AROUND WILL GET TO YOU SOON"

His English needs work, but Fort Drum is conveniently located nearby. Anybody want to Climb to Glory and take him up on his challenge?

I'm surprised he kept this page up. Think he is just plain stupid to so and keep the issue going.

I don't think that I cannot do something more drastic than just exposing them. I would be taking that ACU top home with me by any means necessary.

For the love of God... If you are going to fake the funk, at least roll the collar the correct way! Nobody wears it like that!

SFC (Join to see), he is trying to hide his ridiculous "RANGER - ONE SHOT ONE KILL" tattoo on his neck.
Damn this clown sucks.

FUBAR SOUP SANDWICH!! I would love to meet someone like this in person and humiliate the snot out of them. I am assuming that he is at an on post establishment. If he is, I wonder who sponsored him on base?

This is a good topic which brings awareness of people out there stealing valor they don't deserve. It just remind me when I was on Embassy Duty in Budapest, Hungary, there was a guy impersonating a three (3) star Air Force General. This joker was wearing a formal dress uniform with cowboy boots and a straw hat. This guy is an African-American, I seen him one day trying to get in our building, my full bird Colonel chase him away. It is obvious he is probably a nut case, he even got pass the guards in Tazsar Main Gate in Tazsar, Hungary and slip away you know that is embarrassing.

I would be very interested to see how often the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 is enforced. Unless it is a well-documented case of the fraud producing a personal gain of some kind, I don't think a citizen arrest reaction would be most appropriate (however gratifying) or result in legal action against the offender (maybe against us, though.) It would be great to be somehow further empowered to take action when these folks are discovered.

While I whole-heartedly agree with MAJ Miller's stance that public humiliation is the best medicine for these imposters, it would be great if they could be once humiliated, but twice jailed for a bit with a fine and a paper trail. Fortunately, I have not crossed paths with this situation in person; though I have helped a few friends suspicious of a coworker or acquaintance.

PO3 Holbrook, thanks for standing up and doing the right thing on behalf of all of us!
