Do not think I am insensitive to the violence and the deaths of our young people (white, black, brown) and those that have been in the media. I'd like to hear your thoughts in a mature manner with this thread.
I am curious to your thoughts on the subject. After watching the video it almost seemed like the activists were attacking Bernie Sanders (watch the entire video), and he is an extremely liberal candidate - I thought Bernie did the best thing he could have done in the situation. What are your thoughts?

This wasn't a representation of #BlackLivesMatter movement, it was a glimpse at what that movement has become. While at first their movement wanted to promote Civil Rights, and a fair agenda. They have gone from wanting "Fair Treatment" to wanting "Special Treatment". The movement is hijacked by more radical activists who are not looking out for the good of everyone, they are there looking out for themselves to make sure they get media attention by bullying those who they deem racist. I went through some of the twitter feeds of this when it happened and as the word got out. Many people who were behind them just shook their head and walked away. They have shot themselves in the foot by taking over Senator Sanders Rally and shown how tainted their actual movement is.

No... The problem is CSM Michael J. Uhlig all lives matter... No one seems to get that; certainly not the media.

Followup info: Black Lives Matter has apologized.
CSM Uhlig, My wife is a Bernie fan who was upset (and confused) by the "protest." Digging a little over the next couple days, she discovered that when the main body of BLM found out about it, they were angry with that particular chapter. BLM has apologized to Sanders. Though I have not verified this intel via my workplace, it appears BLM had an embarrassing coms fubar.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig
Didn't Officer Wilson apologize as well....I guess the point of the movement is a moot point then....

It is interesting that a group that is advocating stopping violence, equal acceptance among people and civil rights. Is actually encroaching on other folks with the same actions they despise. To be believed as truthful and sincere you must also practice what you preach.

They should have been arrested. There's a time and a place for the Black Lives Matter (or any cause) protest. I do not think hijacking a political candidate's speech is right. They did nothing to organize the meeting, set it up, etc., but they took it over.
I know this: If I were demonstrating for a cause - doesn't matter what cause in the manner that those young women did - I'm SURE I would be in jail right now. These folks have some kind of special status because of political correctness. And I think that's a shame.

It's an interesting choice of venues. I was under the impression Sanders had a decades long history of being sympathetic to civil rights...

CSM Michael J. Uhlig I think he handled the situation perfectly. I believe the demonstrators just embarrassed themselves by the way they acted (no matter what background, race, religion or nationality). There is a right way and a wrong way! Grow up America!
