I posted this here a while back. I had the honor of meeting the Honorable Congresswoman Duckworth after returning from Afghanistan and going back to work at O'Hare for TSA. I was helping wounded service members getting to connecting flights or anything else they required while transiting thru O'Hare. She refused any assistance, I had a chair for her and she stated "I want to test out these new legs", that's when I noticed all the visible injuries. I just walked next to her and listened as she explained the process she was undergoing at the time. She thanked me for my service, and shock my hand and got in the car waiting for her. I was moved by her spirit and her drive to keep going and not let her injuries take away from who she was, a warrior. We need more like her.
