As we approach closer to Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to take time to say what I am thankful for and hear what everyone else is thankful for.
I am thankful for having a wonderful and caring family that always supports each other through thick and thin. I am thankful for the friends I have made throughout my life. And I am thankful for being given the opportunity to become a future officer in the United States Army.

I am Thankful for the Cherokee Nation and the time I spent with this Awesome Tribe during part of the summer of 1975 in Cherokee NC! Was honored to hear their first-hand account of “The Trail of Tears” and to be taught a few of their songs and dances... Very Proud Native Americans who were treated SO Badly! Cherish those memories forever! Had a Profound impact upon me!

What am I thankful for? So many things this year. First, all of the men and women I served with along the way in the Armed Forces, ALL of them. In Navy I served with the finest crews on the best ships ever. My shore duty assignments were great due to the fantastic people there, Sailors, Marines, Soldiers, Guardsmen, Coast Guard, Air Force, yes I served with all of you and so many outstanding civilians too.
I am also very thankful for the Sworn Police Officers I have worked with and who protected me and our country and citizens each and every day. Every one of you goes about his/her job as true professionals. Firefighters are included in this category as far as I am concerned, including paramedics.
Family: everyone related to me in this country, Canada, Germany, Greece, and places I do not know of; all my family! All of my military family including you here on RP. I have met and talked to so many professionals here. You are family too.
My Country: I was born a Dual National and CHOSE to be an American. It was not an accident of birth and I may never be eligible to be President, but this is MY country because I care and want the best for it. When I swore my Oath, I meant every word, and that oath will never expire.
GOD!

At this moment, I am thankful for my years of service to this great nation. I am most assuredly thankful for deciding to retire and finally being back home with my husband. We've spent a few too many years apart and it will be nice to be able to enjoy life with him. I'm thankful for my family and my friends and the many great soldiers I have been so fortunate to have served with. God Bless!

I am thankful for the Troopers I serve with. It is not lost on me that I am the least important person in this Squadron. Each and every Trooper is a sharpened saber waiting to deal violence upon the enemies of this grand nation and they have chosen to serve in one of the most dangerous times in history. Their lives are far more valuable than mine. The lives to be lived by them are more full of opportunity and hope than mine. I am thankful for this yoke which has been placed on my shoulders and pray that I am able to continue to pull with all my strength for the Troopers I am blessed to be surrounded by. I am thankful that ALL are equal under the crossed-sabers of the Cavalry that we may all achieve greatness together as a team, and that the efforts of the individual are only meritorious if it is in the achievement of the common good of all. I am thankful that together, undaunted by our collective and individual challenges, we face the world as a force of nature prepared to be unleashed on those deserving of the true fury of the United States of America. Blessings on those who cary the sword and the shield for those unable...or unwilling.

I am thankful that while things are still getting worse every day here we live in what many can still consider the land of the free and the home of the brave. We still have the right of freedom of speech. I am also thankful for all the blessings God pours down on those who have faith in Him along with those who do not because of His Love. I am thankful that there were men and women brave enough to pay the price needed for us to enjoy the freedom we have today, along with those who are still fighting. I am thankful that even though I am disabled, I can still put food on the table for my family. I am thankful for the love of family and friends. May God continue to bless America and protect those serving today blessing them with a good meal and memories of those back home who love and miss them!

As I age and see what's really IMPORTANT......My TOP FOUR things I'm most thankful for is:
1. GOD - for giving me life, health and a purpose in life. For being there with me through "THICK & THIN" and never giving up on me regardless how "HOPELESS" the situation may seem. Thank you.
2. My Wife (Nenita) and family - She (NENITA) means so much to me. She has been the BEST WIFE any man could ever want. Through the tough times she has consistently stood by me no matter what. My Daughter Crystal (active duty Navy currently stationed at Pearl Harbor, HI) SHE IS MY PRIDE & JOY! WE LOVE YOU! My parents. They raised me right, although NOT PERFECT (NO PARENT IS) they guided me through my younger years of life and were there every step of the way (although my Dad who was active duty U. S. Air Force was away a lot, Vietnam, detachments (TDY), and long hours working) he still cared and the time he had he used wisely. They all play a "special part" in my life. Thank you.
3. My Country - Without this GREAT COUNTRY called the "United States of America" I "PROBABLY" would NOT have had the opportunities I have had in life. Our country is NOT PERFECT, but with that said we are way more fortunate than most are. We should try NOT to dwell on the NEGATIVES about the U.S., but remember all the POSITIVES! Thank you U.S.A.!
4. My health - GOD has blessed me with (for the most part) GOOD HEALTH. NEVER TAKE YOUR HEALTH FOR GRANTED.......THERE IS A "FINE LINE BETWEEN HEALTHY & SICK". Believe me as I age, I have found this out more and more. Thank you GOD!
These are my TOP FOUR....... I wish all a VERY HAPPY AND JOYOUS THANKSGIVING!
