It would definitely be nice to be up to speed on the latest and greatest when it comes to retention. I can remember asking years ago if we had a Career Counselor available and nobody in my Chain of Command knew if one even existed in the state. As a Commander I'm required to conduct retention interviews and questions about bonuses and incentives are often brought up. In most cases I'm relying on 2nd or 3rd hand information. My initial question would be this: Where do I go to get the information from the source, especially in an ARNG formation whose division headquarters is a state away? My recruiter is usually where I end up going, but he's not always available on IDT weekends.
