Yesterday, Hitomi took me to the Pima Air Museum here in glorious Tucson. It's directly behind the Davis-Monthan AFB (the A-10 Graceland). For all you military history and aviation superstars, this thread is for you. I'll post them, you identify them. Extra points awarded if it was your aircraft. The rules are simple, there are none. You read my mind! They actually had a display there called "Carriers in Space" and had this exact model and of course the classic 80's style Galactica!

I thank its a F86. The Navy version was the F1 Fury.

This is the North American F-86 Sabre, MSgt Mike Mikulski. The Republic F-84 was called the Thunderjet and did not have swept wings.
