thermos will keep your coffee hotter for longer periods of time.. bottles get thrown away and even the BPA free ones will eventually break down

I've seen numerous sources that BPA 'free' plastic bottles use other chemicals that are just as bad as BPA. I would do some research if you decide to go that route.

That's the reason I wrote BPA "free." Many products are only tested for BPA on outer layers. However, plastic breaks down with heat, and BPA could still be present within those products.

I'd pretty much guess that Stanley thermoses are and have been a top pick across the country for a good 60-70 years, Jacqueem. There are a couple other brands been around, definitely not so long. They're known for their long-lasting durability. I still have a Stanley that is at least fifty years old. Can't say it looks brand new, but I would never trade it in on a new one.

Depends on what you are using it for.
Thermos if you need to keep something at a "conditioned" temperature, like using a milk product for a protein shake later in the day.
BPA bottles otherwise, for water etc.

SGT (Join to see) - Generally speaking, weight. Most of my activities are running based so I attempt to reduce weight where possible. That's just me though.

I do tend to use Plastic Bottles but I should get me a nice Thermos.

I have three - only paid for one. One was a re-up gift. The other was a gift alongside a MOVSM.
