These aren't genre specific, but I want your all time favorite no matter how cheesy they might be. I will start with mine (in no particular order):
1. Clue
2. The Labyrinth
3. Usual Suspects
4. The Goonies
5. Fight Club

We can get more genre specific and/or expand on this top later.

COL Jean (John) F. B. , I would not publicly admit to liking The Godfather III. It was not good when you compare it to the 2 that preceded it.

SPC Michelle Malloy (Stagg), that is a good mix of movies... too many to choose from, for me to narrow to just five. I might be able to do that per genre, haha...

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou! GREAT movie, I forgot about that one! I only wish my wife liked it as much as I do! I can only watch it when she's away! LOL!!

1. Band of Brothers
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. The Last Samurai
4. A Bridge Too Far
5. Top Gun

I only list Top Gun because of the number of times a group of us saw it when it first came out in the Mid 80s and then shortly PCS'd to Korea and it was the top re-played in our Camp Theater (dining facility converted each night). The list does go on and if I were to give it deeper thought, there would be some changes. These are the ones that pop in my head at the moment.....Oh, yeah, here is another one....A Time to Kill w/ Samuel L. Jackson. See what I mean.

1. Gran Torino (very well done)
2. The Princess Bride ("RUS's, I don't think they exist" - clearly, the Dread Pirate Roberts never went to Africa)
3. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (I have to watch this every time it is on. Classic)
4. American Beauty (also, very well done)
5. Team America World Police (First time I saw it in Iraq, 2005:
My roommate: "I can't believe I just wasted 90 minutes of my life"
Me: "That might have been the best movie I have ever seen"
Roomate: "Really? You're kidding."
Me: "I'm watching it again"
The perfect deployment movie)
