Topless equality for Males and Females; Do you think this should actually be considered?

It's time to stop hyper sexulaizing women in America. Why was it ever okay for guys to go shirtless? They have nipples...

MSgt Curtis Ellis - As long as boys will be boys and girls will be girls (which, I understand, is getting more and more "blended" in today's society) and female breasts are looked upon in a sexual context, I don't think society would accept topless females in the same way as topless males.

I agree with some of the others who have commented about it being "normal" in other countries. Having lived overseas for 31 years of my life, most of that in Europe, I can attest to the fact that topless women are considered in a much different vein than they would be in the USA. However, that is a result of generations of assimilation and upbringing. It would take time for the US to feel the same way. In the interim, topless women in public would simply be a free peep-show for the males.

This is such a made up issue......or to be more appropriate a "1st Word Problem".

I really can't understand why we as Americans waste time with nonsense like this there are much bigger things going on in our country that need to be addressed.  

Make it legal the "titty party" will run around for a few days to try and make some point....realize that no one cares and then move on.

Maybe if as a nation we were not so uptight these non-issue issues would not take up all of the time of our elected representatives and they could move on to more important things....like maybe making a budget, addressing crime rates, tax laws, etc.

If a woman wants to breast feed in public  let her (babies need to eat) but she should be tasteful about it......if she want to go topless...let her...who cares....I grew up in Europe and after the initial "culture shock" wears off you don't event notice it.  Same with going topless....once the initial shock passes no one cares...or hell even really notices.

Besides studies have shown that looking at woman's breast actually lower men's blood pressure and agitation levels.....so Win-Win......right

Amazingly enough you don't see women running around St Mark's Square or the Louvre or Vatican Square, or in movie theaters, shopping malls, gas stations, etc all over Europe ....why.....well it's simple most women don't want to go topless unless it's in an appropriate environment...you know like Church.....just seeing if you are still paying attention....but seriously in countries where this is legal it's not like there are herds of topless woman rampaging around. They pretty much only do it at the beaches, parks, or other places where it would be appropriate. 

The only reason we the militant 'titty party" does crap like this is to get their 15 min of fame........ and besides isn't it time New York City got a Singing Cowgirl also?

Can we please just get this done and move onto to something that matters?

Most people of any sex look better with clothes on. If we are going to change the rules we should make everyone wear a shirt.

I don't think it's a good idea, I think it would interfere with day to day operations.

When you get to be my age, you want to cover it up. my wife feels the same way. Get over it guys/gals, it would create an insurance nightmare, between the normal safety precautions going to the winds just because someone's boobs are hanging out in the open. Under the right venues, I very much appreciate the thought.

Never would I buy into this being acceptable. This is disrespectful to God, women and men.

I think its funny how we are devolving. Having traveled to many places where they go topless at the beach I don't see this as a problem. Nipples on men are a remnant from our early development in utero. For the first several weeks a developing embryo follows a "female blueprint," from reproductive organs to nipples. Only after about 60 days does the hormone testosterone kick in (for those of us with a Y chromosome), changing the genetic activity of cells in the genitals and brain. But by then the mammary papillae aren't going anywhere.

Not sure how many of you have had the opportunity to live in Europe (Germany)? There are the sauna's and spa's there where everyone goes (Co-ed) and when you want to go inside one of the sauna rooms, you take off your robe and are completely naked, you also take off your flip-flops. You take your towel inside unless it is a steam room and you sit on it with also enough for your feet too. This is a norm in most European countries, I loved going to these places (not for the view because some of them were not very pleasing) but for the pure pleasure of enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. My wife is German, she says to me that if this sort of thing was more of a normal thing in the states where people are afraid to show anything and anything sexual is considered taboo besides in Europe it is accepted, we would probably have less predator's and sex crimes in my and her opinion. Now to be outside everyone and topless or naked, even in very liberal countries like Germany they do not allow it, I think it would just create chaos and car wrecks.

I say, ladies, those guys who are saying all of that are the real pervos... And trust me, I'm not different. But I'm honest...

So yes, absolutely should be a thing. Why? Because. I get to see and accidentally walk into boobies. That's why.
