Un-Verified Accounts: What do you think about them? How long should one have to verify it?

I believe that once a profile has not been verified within a certain time limit, that the said account should be pulled off of RallyPoint. What say you??
IF you don't know how to verify your account, go to

It took the RP crew some three odd months to verify me via DD214.

I feel like most of the unverified accounts are from people that created an account, but then never continued to build it. A lot of the ones that I have seen have only 10 influence points.

I like this thought, because it silently points out to the possibility of "My Total Influence Points" equates to some level of "I'm more important than x or y", just as to some extent, ribbons and medals do. I just happen to be Top 1%, but this does not have any positive or negative influence upon my own character or reputation in my eyes, nor should it.
Again, I think this issue can all too easily become the slippery slope. Some folks in the past have actually had the audacity to "pull rank" on various topics on RP, so now you introduce the notion that a Verified Private has more clout here than an Unverified Major General. Not that Rank HERE is subject to the UCMJ, either. Shame on those pulling rank here.
Though I have to joke by saying "Hey LT...I see your lips moving but I just can't hear you...because you are not (yet) Verified".

What I meant by my comment was that they haven't expanded their accounts. You received a small number of influence points just for signing up to rally point. You can tell who the people are that simply create an account but never visit it again by looking at their influence point report. Most of these people are unverified having never taken the time to do so.

Not everyone wants there picture to coincide with military information on the Internet. Just because we essentially started mass use of biometrics does not mean that our enemies do not. The less information on the web the better.

Trust me, I am as concerned about personal security as the next guy (just take a look at where I work). With that in mind, the fact that there are un-verified members on this site, gives me pause ... surely, you can appreciate that SPC (Join to see).

TSgt Hunter Logan --- I really feel that your admonishment was unnecessary (you said nothing that I don't already know and practice). Have a good evening . . .

I'll be deleting my RP account. Thanks for passing on your thoughts. Thank you all for serving or having served. I'm no spaceship halo qualified door gunner, but I'm not going to be accused of being a poser because I refuse to send my information to RP. Best wishes to all.
Sincerely,
That Guy

I didn't take any offense. There was nothing you said TSgt Hunter Logan that would offend me. I saw you engaging and replying respectfully.
