Were the attacks on Paris retaliation for the assassination of Jihadi John?

Is it possible that the recent terrorist attacks on Paris were due to the assassination of the Islamic States' infamous "Jihadi John"?
The attacks came several hours after the media announced that the U.S. had killed Jihadi John via drone strike.
Things to note:
Organized Attack
The terrorist attack seemed like an operation that was well planned. It involved several terrorists with different avenues of attacks (shooters, kidnapping, hostages, suicide vests, etc).
The Timing
The attack happened several hours after the reported assassination of notable IS member "Jihadi John".
Jihadi John
A British national and member of the Islamic State, gained notoriety when he released a series of brutal videos where he beheaded several foreign journalists.

most likely for France's support for the bombing of Syria - I think there may also be message to the refugees to go back home and be quietly subjugated by ISIS

One of my Welsh cousins lives in France Cpl Julio Rosa. He said he was in the area of the attacks two hours before they occurred. He let us know he was safe via Facebook.
ISIS, al-Qaeda and their fellow wahhabi islam inspired terrorists have long been laying plans for attacks in Europe, Asia and the United States. I expect they develop their plans quietly move people and material including weapons where it needs to be; reassess their plans and when the time is right they launch attacks. I suspect the attacks were launched in part as revenge against our strike in Libya and against Jihadi John at their "HQs."

Great response. I agree with you, the attacks were too organized. They most likely already had this attack planned and just re-adjusted to respond to the drone strike.

Probably not. Four of the attackers so far have been found to be Syrian refugees, and would therefore have been set into motion long before JJ was killed.

Nope, Islamist Radicals do not need a reason other than Islam to murder, maim and attack others. This morning it's a hotel somewhere. Kill their leaders, take their children and raise them in non-muslim homes and let this murderous philosophy go the way of the Dumdums sect in India.

There is no way. The attack in Paris was too coordinated and this took months to prepare. The news of the death of Jihadi John was too soon for ISIS to be able to pull this off.

Negative. It took time to plan and co-ordinate those multiple attacks, and Jihadi John's demise was a matter of hours before that. I do however believe that they would LOVE to have us believe they have that kind of ability, to plan and execute such an attack, but it would be almost impossible for anyone to have done that in the time frame between Jihad John's death and the Paris attacks.
