So what's the difference?!?!?! If this employee of Hillary's was fired over using private email or server, then why isn't Hillary in hot water for doing the same?

Why is there one set of rules for the Clinton's and another set of rules for the rest of the US?

Talk about calling the kettle black.

Sgt Kelli Mays Typical abuse of power !! I hope the she really does have to stand trial for what she has done. It is inexcusable.

If there is any real evidence of wrong doing, they need to file charges. If there is no real evidence of any wrong doing they should stop with the political mud slinging. If Clinton had an affair with her biographer and the FBI found classified files at the home of that biographer which were given to him by Clinton... it would be "essentially the same thing." It's not essentially the same thing.

SSG (Join to see) - Sgt Kelli Mays As far as I know, no information is actually being "leaked". The information that we are receiving on this "Hillary mess" has been due to news conferences, where information has been released by the White House (to include the POTUS), the DOJ, or the FBI.

I do agree with SSG Colwell in that Hillary can not be charged unless there is enough evidence to do so. However, with the amount of information that HAS been released, I can promise you that any service member would be looking at a BCD, and jail time for doing a small fraction of what Hillary has done.

Sgt Mays, as to your point, "it shouldn't matter whether Hillary did or didn't know if the email contained classified info", who do you think would be the authority who would actually be able to decide, based on the content of an e-mail, what the classification should be? If Hillary saw/received/sent classified information, as Secretary of State, it would be her job to give/upgrade the clearance level of a document so that others would know how to handle it. As a former Security Manager at a Division HQ, even I had the responsibility to ensure that documents which I read did not contain information which was above the clearance marked on the document(s). If I found TS info/words in a Secret marked document, it was my responsibility to ensure that it was so marked. (See DOD 5200.01, Volume 2, February 24, 2012, Incorporating Change 2, March 19, 2013)

Yes, as far as we know, Hillary should have known the difference, and she set up an illegal, private, server in an unsecure location, but she does still enjoy the freedoms that we have fought for, to include the right to a trial, if the evidence indicates that this would be appropriate. With the information that we have on hand, along with the views of many experts, it seems, to me at least, that this is exactly where she should be headed.

PVT Robert Gresham - SSG (Join to see) So tell me...what is the point to have Rules/regulations that specifically state NO ONE...NO ONE WHAT SO EVER who works for the Government...In any government office can only use GOVERNMENT servers to send ANY TYPE of GOVERNMENT email for documentation/information through GOVERNMENT SERVERS! NO ONE can use private email accounts and NO ONE can have their OWN PRIVATE server when it comes to government employees using email . TELL ME WHAT IS THE POINT of this regulation/stipulation in writing????
Hillary not only had one private server, but she had THREE private servers which she used to send GOVERNMENT material/information/documents WHICH SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT GOVERNMENT servers....SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO USE PRIVATE servers to send out government and ESPECIALLY STATE DEPARTMENT emails with state department information and or documentation.
THIS ALONE should throw her ass in JAIL.

Sgt Kelli Mays I do understand your exasperation with the situation, and I share your viewpoint 100%. Again, speaking from personal experience, if it was anyone other than one of the "higher-ups" did what she has done the individual would probably already be in confinement awaiting trial. But being as this is a Clinton, a former Secretary of State, and a Presidential candidate, the law seems to work differently.

It is clear that what she did was wrong. With the evidence that we have seen so far, she has violated at least nine federal statutes. But the FBI does still has to do it's job. Evidence will have to gathered, and the case must be enough that charges that will stick. They will unfortunately also have to go through the DOJ to get a warrant for her arrest, and Obama will undoubtedly try to block that, as the DOJ, unlike the FBI, does fall under the purview of the federal government. The evidence will have to be clear, and absolutely, unequivocally, pointing the finger directly at Hillary Clinton for a warrant to be issued. However, I have no doubt that even if she is tried, and found guilty, Obama will give her a Presidential pardon before leaving office. Isn't that just great? (NOT!!)

I believe your comparing apples to watermelons here... first Petraeus knowingly handed over classified information to someone without a clearance. Second, Petraeus was also involved in a very public extramarital affair scandal and when the FBI searched the residence of his mistress, they found loads of classified information.

What we have against Clinton right now is just rumors and speculation, until someone decides to file charges against her there isn't good reason to think it's anything more than political mud slinging.

SSG (Join to see), actually Paula Broadwell was a West Point graduate, was an Army intelligence officer, and held a high security clearance. The problem was not that she was unauthorized to see the classified information, but that both she and Gen. Petraeus had the documents in unauthorized locations (in their personal possession in their living quarters).

MSgt (Join to see), exactly; although Hillary's actions were worse - she exposed the classified documents to the world on an unsecured personal server that had been hacked by several governments. The Petraeus documents were locked in a desk in his living quarters on a military installation - not nearly as exposed to Russian, Chinese or other nations' hackers.

SSG (Join to see) - I do not believe it's apples to watermelons in the least. Hillary is throwing everyone off by stating..."oh gee whiz...I didn't realize there was classified information in those emails" THIS IS NOT THE POINT. The point is SHE HAD NOT RIGHT to have her own private servers let alone three servers.
The point is it is clearly stated in the regulations/rules...in the DO's and Don'ts...that no government employee can use private servers. PERIOD! when using government email and when sending government documents and or information.
What Hillary did is WAY WORSE than what Petraeus did.

Why can Hillary get away with it? Money, power, influence, and pure evil will get you far in this life. I'm sure there is a special extra hot fire being stoked for her in the next life.
