I maxed my c.c. promotion points by doing the Microsoft Desktop Certifications and Six Sigma certifications. I would recommend those because you get more benefits: college credits for Six Sigma and prep for the MCP and Six Sigma exams in addition to promotion points.

SSG Aaron Nichols, when recommended for E7, request you review your records before they are sent to the E7 board. When I was on Active Duty, E6 records were sent to the Board, not Soldiers. Best of Luck!SSG (Join to see)

SPC(P) Pounds: This is not a CC course but go to the ACS website or Google Army Family Team Building. Complete and take this to your local ACS and they can make you a Cert that is 40 hours and it goes on the ERB... Took me 3 hours to Complete lvl 1 2 3.

AFTB is not worth promotion points any more, I just went to try it and they do not use the online training for promotion points

Military & Civilian Education
FYI: Any courses which count for Civilian Education can also give you a one time award of 10 Civilian Education Points!
Best of Luck! Looking forward to seeing you receive E6/SSGSGT(P) (Join to see)

The skillport courses are great. If you are looking through ATRRS, start with classes for your own MOS. Complete the ones available, no matter how mundane they feel. It's good sustainment for knowledge you may not encounter on a daily basis. Make sure you get the "Role of the NCO" courses in early. They are pretty good.
Once you have completed courses for your MOS, branch out into other MOS that are closely related or that you work with on a regular basis. This will give you a basic understanding of those other jobs and an idea of how they may actually integrate. Treat correspondence courses like concentric circles around your MOS. Start close and work your way out.

Sir, what do you mean in number "2 ened in those"? is this still current because my Soldiers are asking me the same questions?

Excellent Information Sir! You can also take other courses outside of your MOS. I did that & obtained an SQI!

Checkout the Army E learning link in AKO and take courses from skillport.
They offer a wide variety of courses many are in the technical and management fields. They will hit your ATTRS transcripts once you complete a course.

I personally enjoy taking DL classes through JKO(Joint Knowledge Online). Majority of the classes are sort of video based which makes them way more enjoyable than the ALMS courses and it offers a good look into the joint aspects of the military.

When you look at your ATRRS transcripts after you complete one of the JKO courses the hours are listed there on it. I have been working on them for a few days now and they are starting to populate on it. The only place that I have not seen them show up on yet is my ERB

I am so Old, I had to request via mail, the actual books! Upon completion, take the tests. Then submit completed tests to be scored & then received certificates which I had to take to records and have them entered into my file!
