RP Members let's get some really good pictures of the best Military Monuments!
Here is a great one. The Above Picture is: New Mexico veterans memorial Albuquerque Vietnam War!
VETERANS TRIBUTE please take a moment when you see former or active service men or women thank them. I stand and salute all as " All gave some and some gave all. "

Donald F. Burroughs Military Funeral Honors | RallyPoint
RP Members and Connections I've been in Illinois for the past (9) days making arrangements and burying my Father (Donald F. Burroughs) who was a Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient! I wanted to share his military funeral honors with you all. We lost another Veteran, Brother-in-Arms, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend to many. I will miss him! Don F. Burroughs, 85, of Washington passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 4:16...

Cpl Brian Johnston My father Donald F. Burroughs was a BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) infantryman and Purple Heart recipient that lived to see this great monument before left this earth.

Thanks for the photo. My uncle, Sgt Kenneth Earl Walker of Company C, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, was KIA and is still MIA somewhere north of Sasu-Ri east of the Chosin Reservoir on 2 Dec 1950. The “forgotten war” must never be forgotten.

Not truly a "military monument," and it means many things to many people....
The United States Flag is ultimately my favorite. It's our symbol known the world over. It represents is and we represent it. It's a symbol of our extension and might. It is a reminder to all Service Members that we serve for some reason greater than ourselves. It's a reminder of where we originated as a Country. And it is a reminder of the sacrifices of all Service Members, past, present, and eternally.

I finally found my pic. It's one most of you will never see as it is here in Denmark. It is to a Flying Fortress named, "Stormy Weather" and it's crew which crash landed on the island of Als. The crew bailed out with the pilot and co-pilot crash landing - all survived the rest of the war in a POW camp. This memorial was erected by the Danes to honor this crew for what they did.

Some of the really nice ones I saw were actually for Russian soldiers in and around Moscow and St Petersburg. I will have to see if I have pictures anywhere. I have always liked the Aircraft that are mounted and dedicated outside of most USAF bases as well.

Colonel, my being a Navy man, the most humbling monument that I have ever seen and visited is the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor!! It always brought a tear to my eyes when passing it!!

Charles, we were there in February. Unfortunately it was undergoing repairs so we were just able to sail around it and also view it from the USS Missouri. It was still a humbling experience.

Bill, I have always admired this monument. Here is a close-up I took many years ago. So many that I can't remember when. Thanks for sharing your image of the entire monument.

I enjoyed seeing the small monuments in Normandy area. My uncle was with the 10th Armored Division and went ashore at Cherbourg in September 1944 and then went on to Metz. He made several of the 10th AD reunions while he was still alive. Those WW II guys are my heroes. I was running around in diapers when they were dodging bullets and shrapnel.
