I learned a long time ago, good leaders utilize all their assists to achieve the organization's desired goals. Noticed I didn't say, "succeed in the mission." If you were never in the military and a Veteran told you they succeeded in their mission; what would that mean to you?
You are the leader of your life and career. If your desired goal is to find a good paying job where you can advance in responsibility and leadership, then you need to utilize all your assets and resources. Do you know what assets and resources are available to you?
Rally Point is one. There are many experienced people here who are more than willing to mentor you. There are other resources as well. If you don't have a LinkedIn account, start one. There are Veteran Mentor groups with experienced Human Resource professionals who are also willing to mentor you. Get all the mentors you can.
Research, research, research. Network, network, network. RallyPoint and Linkedin are both great networking resources as well.
More later.
Thanks again!
