Ok, RP. The two month countdown to the 2016 election begins today. Primaries are the crawl phase, and campaigning is the walk phase. This is the running phase of the election. Lots of talk has been directed at who would make a better commander in chief, but which candidate has the skills of a chief executive? Which candidate is likely to address egalitarian concerns of the general electorate? What is the public looking for this election cycle?

While I'm no Trump fanboy, I simply can't get behind someone who has proven herself to have no integrity no matter how much experience she has. Let's face it, both sides of the aisle have placed the country into the position we are currently in so why not try out a non-lawyer/politician and try a businessmen for a change. If he fails, vote him out in 4 years.

It's not the candidates who worry me. There were almost 20 Republicans running and it all boils down to Donald Trump, an outsider. I too am not a big fam of Trump. B ut I ma realistic. Hillary Clinton is the Malificent of today.

I fail to see her shortcomings as any worse than her male predecessors. Yes, she is without integrity, as well as most of our past political leaders. I'm all about moving in a new direction, but when the known quantity will maintain the status quo and the unknown quantity says he's going to burn it down, the choice is clear for me.

IMV, there is only one pro (for Trump) and one con (for the cuckquean). That is the Supreme Court. We can weather Trump for 4/8 years ... and perhaps even weather the cuckquean for 4/8 years. What will destroy us as a nation as we know it is the liberal SCOTUS that would result from a Democrat in the White House next year. It's the SCOTUS, Stupid!

As an aside, a humorous "pro" to a Trump win is the number of people that swear up and down they will leave our country if he is elected ... among them:

Lena Dunham
Samuel L. Jackson
Miley Cyrus, Cher
Jon Stewart, Raven Symone
Natasha Lyonne
Omari Hardwick
Spike Lee
Chloë Sevigny
Eddie Griffin
George Lopez
Al Sharpton
Neve Campbell
Rosie O'Donnell
Whoopi Goldberg
Chelsea Handler
Barbra Streisand

Make my day!

Not to mention that Sotamayor says she will resign. That way Trump could appoint two justices and we could get a better footing on the Supreme Court for a long long time.

LTC (Join to see) Can you give some examples of liberal SCOTUS decisions that would "destroy us as a nation?" Honest question.

What are the pros and cons of a Clinton presidency? What are the pros and cons of a Trump presidency?

This is virtually impossible to answer in the manner you expect. We never really know what to "expect". We vote more on hope (not the kind of "hope" that Obama promised). As I see it now, I don't have a clue of what to expect from a Trump Administration. I wish that he would publish his slate of Cabinet Officers. That would help. I fully expect a continuation of the main feature of the Obama Administration if Hillary is elected; specifically, a failure to take responsibility. Obama is infamous for ducking responsibility and so is Hillary. To be fair, I was astounded when she sort of took responsibility for her vote on the Iraq war, but then restored my faith by immediately distancing herself from it. What we need now more than ever is a sense of responsibility in the White House. Responsibility is a fundamental American trait. How can we trust any citizen with freedom if they won't take responsibility for their actions? How can we then trust a President who won't take responsibility for their decisions?

Under a Trump presidency America will be respected again and Trump will do what's right for our veterans and the military. Hillary would continue the gutting of America's military and downgrade America as a superpower.

there is NO way the United States of America will benefit from Another Clinton Presidency...
At Best we will end up under The Direction of the Damn UN at worse.... 1776 Part II
HRC has already displayed her willingness to sellout this Nation to the Highest bidder. She is already on the Hook to The Saudi's and the Chi-Coms who have been the Clintons Back pocket since 1995... and is already bowing to The Islamists, part of which BO has started...
Bluntly... with her in power... We , as a Nation, are Screwed...

At least with the loose Cannon Trump in Charge, we will not Be Speaking Chinese or Bowing to Mecca 5 times a day...

HRC would mostly be just another Democratic president, attempting to solve all our problems by "doing the right thing." DJT would be a totally new, never before seen Trumpist president, trying to run Congress like they work for him, and discovering that the promises he made in the campaign are largely either Constitutionally illegal, morally unethical, or just plain unAmerican.

The public is split. The screaming loud minority that calls itself the Silent Majority is looking for a stern father-figure to roar and scare all the minorities and foreigners away. The majority just want the Congress to get back to governance; like funding the CDC to fight the Zika epidemic, taking charge of the coalition against ISIS, and encouraging the establishment of new, permanent, fair paying jobs.

I agree in the end, if we don't fix the judicial houses of our government then it won't matter who is President. Congress runs our country the President is just the figurehead who represents it, if Congress can't agree and do what is best for the majority and minority then we are all screwed.

SFC Bernard Walko - If I understand you correctly, you object that HRC will profit personally from government service, and you believe that now, Trump is powerful enough to stop that. Did I get that right?

So exactly how and when did Trump prove or in any way demonstrate that he will give selflessly of himself to our country, without taking a personal profit for himself? What makes you think that DJT has ever done anything for others, or will start sacrificing for his country? Do you believe that, upon inauguration, DJT will suddenly become a statesman, dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal? Will he agree that all persons within the jurisdiction of the States must be treated equally before the law? Will he then be committed to defending the liberty and freedom of all Americans regardless of color, religion, or ethnic background?

SSgt Paul Esquibel - Did you say that Congress runs the country and the president is 'just' a figurehead? I think you're describing the opposite of Trumpland. In the United States, the Congress, courts, and president have different but important powers. None of them is a mere figurehead.

LTC Dave Lewis - Could you elaborate more, everything I have read, and heard him say is the 2A is safe. He understands the difference between an Automatic Weapons and a Semi Automatic weapon and will correct people during interviews stating that Automatic weapons should be banned.

LTC Dave Lewis - Pretty weak article, thought it was going to be a video. My interpretation of what he is getting at was if you modify an AR-15 into an automatic weapon then yes it is a criminal offense. I would prefer to whole transcript other than an authors snipets of statements.
Still confident the 2nd Amendment is safe under a Gary Johnson presidency.

Sgt Steven Thomas - Not sure what you are implying? No one has ever mentioned anything about gun confiscation on the Libertarian platform. I would recommend reading the platform at: https://www.lp.org/platform
But if you don't have the time to, here is the platform on the 2nd Amendment: The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights—life, liberty, and justly acquired property—against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. We affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. Private property owners should be free to establish their own conditions regarding the presence of personal defense weapons on their own property. We oppose all laws at any level of government restricting, registering, or monitoring the ownership, manufacture, or transfer of firearms or ammunition.
