What are your feelings as the Taliban reclaim Afghanistan after 20 years of US involvement?

I think Biden, his cabinet, and all the other idiots that voted for and installed him as president should move there asses over there until this clusterfuck is fixed correctly.

I feel all of your pain! I too am a vet with many tours to SW asia. This is mind blowing and cuts deeper than anything. I lost some GREAT men and women, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers and so on. FOR WHAT! Why the hell do their families have gaping wounds that will never heal? They paid the price so I could come home so many times. It was bad enough just thinking about that before. Way did I come home every time and they did not! They served the same as me... Lucky? I dont think luck has anything to do with it. This hurts to the core! I have a deep hate building inside of me. What do I do.. Suck it up again and again while this joker some call president make a mockery of my friends DEATH! I try real hard to be a better Christian but this hatred is so deep and so loud in my head and my heart. Im dealing with it but at what point will I pop? What is an outlet for such distain and hatred fir this ass hole and those that are supposed to protect this country and our freedoms we fought for? There is no justice! There will be no justice! How does anything we did even matter anymore? The shit we did and saw happen... It was hard to swallow before but NOW? At least back then it was for a better outcome.. But now? My lifes work and dedication to this contry does not matter anymore.. The death of my friends were in vain, the survivors without a dear family member have been robbed and they dont give a shit about us anymore because now there will be a massacre over there. Women and children raped and beaten to death, father mutilated in front of their kids, so many more deaths. And in some f-ed up way I feel like I am part of what fixing to happen to the local good people in SW Asia. Ill go find a corner of this country and take care of me and my family and it dare someone to try and mess with me and my home! What else it there to do. So betrayed and slapped in the face! My flag is now black!

I had multiple thoughts. At first, I was angry and frustrated...at the government, at the American people, and at the press for creating a media moment to sell ads. Then I accepted the current situation. We, the American public, ALL of us, own this 20-year political boondoggle disguised as a war. We can play word games, point fingers, wring our hands, and complain, or we can just own it. Like we should. How we move forward from this will define us. There are lessons to be learned and re-learned here. I'll own my piece of it. Because I am an American citizen.

It was bound to happen again. Any time politicians try to run a war, they screw it all up, worst yet is when they have no military experience. POTUS screwed the S. Vietnamese when he was a Senator by denying the continued support of their government. POTUS is not yet finished screwing over the citizens of the US, just wait until more people die from Covid and Terrorist attacks to come. He will be at Camp David taking a holiday while everything crumbles around him. The VP is just a figure piece who thinks she's in a beauty or talent contest always posing for the camera. Neither of them care about the country and the people, it's all about how much money they can make while in office!
