What are your opinions about going to airborne school at age 38 if it is offered?

You'll be a 38 year old private in bootcamp again. But, for $150 extra a month for a revisit of 3 weeks of bootcamp . . . . it's a fair trade.

3 weeks learning how to fall correctly for an extra $100 and increased chance of getting injured? Fuck it, you got Tricare.

Just depends....
Can you accept you will not be in charge even when your the student leader?
Can you accept things will not go how you think they should, how it was supposed to go, what you were told "was" going to happen?
Are you in shape enough that constant physical work daily for three weeks will not cause you injury or mental distraction?

If you can hang physically, can do what your told NOW, not what was told minutes ago.. but now without letting it get to you...... sure why not.

Go for it, as long as you are physically fit, you'll do fine. Might even enjoy it more as you may be more mature and have more realistic expectations. Our oldest guy in my class was an AF LTC in his early 40's (class leader) and our youngest was a 17 year old split option (wing bearer).

I went to air assault school at 40 and jumpmaster school at 41 . . . but always was a late bloomer. If you're in good shape, go for it!
