What are your recommendations for good duty stations?

Wonderful Ft Sam Houston TX. Most people have unfond memories because all they did was AIT..... If you get to spend time there not on student status it is the place to be.

For me, I enjoyed FT Irwin as OPFOR and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. But in all honesty, each assignment is what you make it. For example, there was some folks at LRMC that always said Germany sucked and there was nothing to do. Of course, these folks never left the base.

It’s hard to pick favorites when everyone has different ideas of what’s interesting to them!

Anywhere in Germany is good, but not for everyone. You got to figure out what you want, or just try a few. Alaska is great if you like to hunt and fish

Some of My favorites where I had been stationed included Hanscom AFB, MA, Lowry AFB, CO (now closed) and Hickam AFB, HI.
