What are your thoughts on having Tanks and other armored vehicles in the 2019 Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C. ?

I say let's show off a little of the hardware the taxpayers have funded for all of the Services. Several aircraft doing flybys. The Army and Marines should get to drive tanks, personnel carriers and other equipment in review. Heck, park a Navy ship or two and a Coast Guard Cutter at the Washington Navy Yard for the week.

LTC Eugene Chu - So let me understand this... A BRONZE STATUE received devastating damage from debris thrown by rotor wash. All those times I and a stick of Marines ran into rotor wash as we were boarding helicopters... not a single scratch, cut, or bruise. I guess bronze isn't what it used to be.

You have posted three or more links to trash news agencies and articles that I would have as much problem believing as articles from Dufflebag.com If you hate Trump and anything he does bad enough to disregard a little attention to Soldiers and What they do and what kind of equipment they do it with, (A little Glory if you will), then just admit you hate him that bad and be done with it.
I don't see the post where the Dem's just spent $30 mill on a nowhere investigation and then condemning the results. That Money could have paid for almost three parades.

Navy ships used to come to port in my home town and give tours the people loved it long lines. Saw a sub, aircraft carrier ( had to dredge the ship channel for that one and it was little) a missile cruiser. They were cool.

I am all for the Army showing off their tanks. Too large of a percentage of the civilian population doesn’t even know we are still at war. Maybe seeing some military hardware on display will connect the civilian population with the military population if just for a day.

Hell yeah! Seriously, it's painfully apparent that a majority of our younger generations have no idea about what or who is out there protecting them. I think we are losing our sense of pride especially in the higher education arena. Besides, tanks are bad ass and vibrating some sidewalks will make a believer out of most.

As a former anti-tank gunner, I never thought I would see the day that 4-5 M1 Abrams tanks parked on flatbed trailers in our Nations Capital would strike such fear in Liberals across the country. It is both unbelievable and very entertaining at the same time.

Display is cool especially for kids visiting DC. I'm glad there won't be a parade. They would damage the roads and feel a little too dictator-ish for my liking.

The money being used could be put to better use. Military installations across the country celebrate the 4th of July in different ways. American communities are already exposed and show their patriotic support to our military. So what is the real motivation behind this? Political? Personal? Just add this to the category of fraud, waste and abuse.

I waited till the next day to feel bad for the military personnel assigned to work details in support of this celebration that saw RNC sale VIP tickets and used as a fundraising event for their donors. If you sat in front of your tv to watch the president misspeak historical events; well good for you. Throwing out insults is what one does when they can’t accept facts. Now go away, lil Trumper.
