I think a smart recruiter would be there looking for recruits!

Aren't they just on exhibit? People should see what their tax dollars buy. I live in greater Milwaukee; in honor of the re-opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1959, a fleet of ships were here and opened to the including a heavy cruiser. Both the US and Canadian Navies participated. There was even a mock amphibious landing at one of the public beaches. It is what inspired me to join the Navy.

Do it again for Veterans Day.

Well the parade is over and I only seen one static display and a bunch of fly overs and an awesome pat on the back for each branch. Would have loved to see some Tanks and other equipment, but unless they did not show it I DID NOT see a armor display.

Disgusting! That's what they do in China, Russia, anad NK. We have a very little boy as pResident, who is very insecure. His "bone spurs" kept him from being a real hero, so now he leads from the rear, by playing soldier. The world knows we have the best armed forces in the world, we don't need to show it off. Walk softly and carry a big stick.

Hate to disagree with you Sarge, but you're full of crap as the Christmas turkey! Military parades have always been well liked and the status of POTUS has nothing to do with it. Bush served but the democraps used to say that he hadn't! Clinton served up his mistress, among others, obummer served up a bunch of lies and got some of our guys killed, and trump had his bone spurs...who cares? What I heard from a slew of people around here was that they were pissed that the leftist media didn't carry it out of spite and loved it on Fox. Around here anything military gets the loudest cheers and such...of course we're not far from Fort Bragg and the 82nd is well liked. We also have a ton of retired guys playing golf with as much enthusiasm as they played war!

You should learn to use this thing called the internet. It's got a metric f**k ton of pictures of US military vehicles rolling through DC through the years on parade. I posted a few of them here for another "dolt" like you. Yeah I called you a name, cause you're into calling others names as well. Tool (oops I did it again).

Show me another federal parade hosted by the pResident of the US. Yes, local parades all around the country use the proud military as part of their local parades. I have proudly marched in a number of them. As I said earlier this is what cheap despots do to show their power. It's not what we do, as a free symbol of peace through out the world. We have the strongest military in the world. We were strong long before tRump came into the picture, thanks to his Mother Russia. My whole point is, we are not a cheap dictatorship. At least I hope not! Talk about tools!! You tRumpsters keep drinking the cool-ade. Please read your history books, as to how despots have taken over their country's governments. tRump cares nothing about our country or our constitution. Don't continue to be a
"TOOL" of tRumps! Sometimes I think I'm talking to a couple of rUssians, not Americans. Impeach the impostor pResident and let's get a duly elected President with out the aid of the rUssians. If you argue that tRump is doing wonderful things for America, please lay it out in some detail as to what he has done in the last 3 years, making us "great again". Yeah, I know the stock market is up. Yes he gets some credit for that, along with at least two other Presidents before him. So please, lay out the rest of the wonderful things he has done to make our country "great again"!!!

Well it is over now a couple of static displays and some fly overs and a really nice recognition for each branch so I will not complain.

Not an issue.
Parts of speech I watched wasn't political.
Laughed when I heard the Continental Army "took over airports."
Complaining about it decreases credibility of the complainer considering it turn into a political rally.

SFC Robert Walton LOl, first airport wasn't established until 1909.
Ballons ~1782-83, with France using them for warfare ~1784.

It was a nice try anyway and airport may not have been a excellent term for a landing area but could have been what was he was trying to get at. I still thought he done a fair job.

SFC Robert Walton no, he was speaking off the cuff, and is grossly lacking in history.
Come in: "rammed the ramparts.." He has zero idea what those words mean.
Yet, I'm extremely pleased he kept it apolitical.

To me, it seems like it is about to get loud. Other than the noise levels, the rest of the debate is hogwash and just more fake news.

It isn't the thought of having our military show off the armored vehicles, it is the thought of it ending up being a political rally at tax payer expense. 2.5 million dollars from an already underfunded park service? I wonder who is going to rake the leaves?

CSM Charles Hayden - POTUS paid for his vacations less the cost of secret service and AF1. Trump, on the other hand, bills taxpayers for everything.

PO3 Jason M. - I was referring to all the money he makes off his hotels that he charges the taxpayers for while golfing, not counting all the money he makes when dignitaries visit and use his hotels. . That small salary he donates is peanuts compared to the millions he makes from us and others from just his hotels.

Just proves we have a Double Standard.
