A great idea. What a positive message it sends. We are lighting up the whole house with them.

If you've already got your green light, thank you!!! If you don't, what are you waiting for???
Spread the word!!! Would be great to see millions of Americans with green lights out front and not just for the next couple of days! Here is my front porch last night... ;)

We have the front of our house with green lights and I have a lot of friends that are doing the same. I am starting to see green lights around my town too.

It sounds like a great idea but how will I feel if I go out that evening and don't see any green lights because the program hasn't been well advertised (this is the first I've heard of it)? Will I be depressed because I now have proof positive that no one cares? You know what? I think I'll stay home on Veterans Day rather than take a chance...

It'd be nice if people stopped with symbolic gestures and provided assistance that mattered, money, food, housing, education, etc... Nice feelings don't really benefit anyone other than the individual doing it..

This is just a way for people to let Vets / SMs know they support what we are doing or done. Not everyone can afford to offer a job, free house or low cost education. Once you leave the service, you will be able to find many organizations and people that are offering assistance to Vets, one way or another.
