What are your top (3) items of importance for the next POTUS to tackle?
Here are mine:
1. Overhaul or reorganize the Department of Veterans Affairs (specifically healthcare for veterans) -use some of the ideas that the Dream Team here on RallyPoint is recommending Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS, CPT (Join to see), and LTC John Shaw. Also, hire Kim Bolen RN CCM ACM to be the head of Patient Advocacy for all veterans through the new VA
2. Appeal Obamacare and overhaul America's healthcare from top to bottom including the insurance companies.
3. Set into motion a Strategic Military Modernization Program for all the military service branches.

1. Rebuild the military how? We have more of everything than any other nation on the planet. Do we need a 14th carrier group??? If we need anything we need to eliminate contracting and let service members do the work.
2. I'm overlooking number 2 for reasons stated above.
3. I feel you need to do a little research if you think the Executive Orders issued by the current POTUS are the worst of them.

Here are mine.
1. End legalized bribery in the Federal Government. Permanently. This one issue impedes the resolution of every other issue. This used to be a crime.
2. Solidly address global warming with rational energy policies which fast track movement away from large scale commercial and industrial fossil fuel use. We still have a limited window of opportunity to get this done. To hell with multi-billionaires wanting to profit at the expense of everyone for as long as possible. I want this world to remain habitable for human life well into the next millennium.
3. Simplify the Tax code to close all loopholes and require corporate entities to pay income tax as required by the U.S. Constitution. Provide heavy civil and criminal penalties for individuals colluding in corporate tax evasion, to include offshore tax shelter strategies.

I don't think I could ever narrow it down to 3. There are so many issues that I want addressed and most of them have already been included in the responses.

Close the VA and let ue free commercial health care. I'm 100 % service connected but the health care my wife has with Champ VA is light-years ahead. Establish reasonable active duty levels. Who we gonna beat now/the Smurfs. Fire and or put in jail those people in the VA system who need to go there.

Get rid of all socialism, including government pensions (which includes military ones) The socialist VA, Social Security, Medicare, and let all, inuding veterans survive in the free market system.

Sgt Kelli Mays - Good response Sgt Mays. This guy doesn't seem to understand that we have paid a price for the benefits we receive. He sounds like he needs to get out and see whats going on around him.

SSG James Arlington - Socialist is like England or Canada or like the Clintons and the obama's are trying to change our country into....that is TRUE socialism....however paying into social security and into medicaid and receiving it back when you retire is NOT SOCIALISM...and furthermore you didn't answer my question...if you take this all away....what are you going to do with the MILLIONS OF ELDERLY PEOPLE who depend on Medicaid/Medicare and Social security???
MOST CIVILIANS are paying into Social security and medicare...just as I am...they take it out of my check every two weeks like clock work and when I retire I expect to receive my money back...you want to give yours up, then by all means do so.

Sgt Kelli Mays - I respect you Sgt Mays, but I do not agree with your separation between socialism and true socialism. Social Security is a socialistic idea, as are Unemployment, Food Stamps, Medicaid/Medicare, and so forth... and there is no shame in us having a few safe guards for the population of a country in a civilization. But call it what it is and don't create differentials that aren't there.
Now, with that being said.. what SSG Arlington is suggesting is of course criminal. If you enter a contract, in this case with the government, and uphold your side of the deal you are entitled to the full contract. You can't just break a contract willi nilli.. as we all know. That would be illegal.
But then again SSG Arlington didn't answer your question either. He didn't even skirt around it. He just ignored it.
