CWO3 (Join to see) Na, just a regular intel analyst, dude was something else, not in a good way, but guess he was liked by the group commander at the time.

PFC Jeffrey Herrington Yeah I gotcha and agree. However, with most cases I've seen, for OP I would think he'll reach out, they'll say my bad and get it sent out to him.

PFC Jeffrey Herrington - You make some good points, but if Corporal Franco's information is correct, then why would his unit send him off to the Sapper Course? It just does not make sense in that case, especially since he apparently attended Ranger School and graduated prior to that. So did he massively screw up previous to attending the Sapper Course or immediately there after, and immediately prior to PCS?

As MAJ Bryan Zeski said, reach out to your 1SG, or old NCOIC, or if you have any buddies in S1 etc.

Ask nicely. Talk to your old 1SG.

SSG Holder Johnson made it clear for you to understand. You can also call you old unit S1 to ask if they ever put one for you.

Did someone write you up for one? I was happy to get a plaque when leaving. It's not an entitlement. 1stSgt should know (previous unit).

You can ask, but that doesn't guarantee anything. As my old Active Duty unit was near the end of their 5 week NIE (field training/testing new toys) when I left, my ETS award had fallen into the Twilight Zone and it never came back out, and they could have cared less when I asked after-the-fact. Ironically, I asked when--a year later--my old 1SG called to ask me where to send my Good Conduct medal. So I got the one award I wasn't even tracking, but not the other. Not a big deal for me; still, it would have been nice I guess. Good luck

OK guys please educate me. I never heard of a PCS award until now. Why would there be an award for that in the first place?
