Pull chocks for leave area
Wheels up, heels up relax, someone else is flying the plane
Touch & goes the nod & jerk head movements of someone trying not to fall asleep (learned from my airdale buddies before I converted to shipboard rating).

"You'd bitch if someone shit in yer chow!"A response to a chronic bitcher, always whining about something. Navy in origin.

"go to GQ" (General Quarters) over something, (stop what you're doing and take immediate action on some sudden new issue/problem/concern) (Coast Guard) (Navy, too??)

Sailor talk;
Getting the fid.
Hot racking it.
A clueless person has "marbles in the overhead".
Eight O'clock reports.
Boating your oars at meals.
Ordering "Gang Way" in a busy passageway.
When someone is walking away, ordering, "Come about".
Seasickness; Ralph, Huey, Alice, Dry Heaving
"Pipe Down" to keep quiet.
"Red Lead", "Green Death", and "Purple Haze" primer coatings.

'Shack". Is one I've heard within the tactical fighter community. It's,another way to agree with something or acknowledge something.

Heard throughout the Navy, and generally, throughout the day: "shit, man, f**k!" It expressed a wide variety of responses to situations, feelings, orders, officers, chow, etc. One could register a pleasant reaction to something-or negative. It had universal applications. Say, you're reading the POD and see you drew the 4 to 6 compartment watch: "shit, man, f**k! " Or liberty call: "shit, man, f**k!" I'm surprised we never heard it on the bitch box: "now hear this: shit, man, f**k!!"

First heard in Navy basic, but common therafter, is especially on Field Day. Usually spoken by a Chief with his everpresent coffee cup: "Awright you mutts, Turn to! I wanna see assholes and elbows!" A reference to getting everything spotless for inspection. Sometimes mutts could be changed to much more colorful, but descriptive terminology.

Golly, for the Army, when I was in back in 1948-51, I do not remember any of the words I have read here. However, there are some I remember that are not printable here. :-)
