What do YOU think about celebrities who talk poorly about the U.S. military and our veterans?

I find it very humorous when someone in the entertainment arena (Hollywood, professional sports, etc) says something "profound" about our profession. I usually just shake my head and say here we go, another talking head with an opinion without an education. However, in our profession, we fight to ensure those talking heads have the right to spew from their pie hole.

She doesn't even register on my radar. She can shout from the mountain top, on whatever subject she wants to and I could care less. She couldn't hold my attention if she had a bucket. People like that say stuff to get people riled up so they can stay in the spotlight and feel that their life has purpose.

I think the day that everyone starts treating like they're regular people that just have a cool job maybe the day that they stop walking around thinking they're hot shit. But I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon so we'll probably just keep seeing them act up like a bunch of idiots. Not saying all of them are like that because there are some that seem to have their heads on straight, but a lot of them seem like arrogant jerks.

I think very little of them, both literally and figuratively. There are enough good ones who do show they care, so the remainder and their over-inflated egos can KMA!

She sounds like she is talking about her character, not so much about the military. Though she kind of hits the nail on the head of a type of person that joins the military; super idealistic, black and white worldview, and socially awkward thinking the military will fix that. Here is the quote

"She’s simple, not very smart, and really socially inadequate—but a good person. So, if you can sign up, put a uniform on, and erase yourself, you don’t have to consider yourself anymore," she said.

In the end does she seem like she is talking out of her ass; yes, does she say something offensive; no, because that is the perception of the military from people join the military as well. They are all wrong, but not offensive. I am interested the actual interview, and not Fox news and brietbart.

Many overpaid people giving an opinion and our out of touch with reality. But just like the average person on the street when asked Who was Joe Biden......many didn't know who he was. I'm afraid the US is in deep trouble......

Hollywood is fantasy land with very little reality! And that is most actors and actresses also, not all but most!

It's always been my belief, that people like her pick on the military when they are in love with the current POTUS and doesn't want to blame him for the issues! Not to start politics here! But people like her want to blame someone and this case it is the military world....

Also, many like her are so ignorant and scared of the military for no reason, they want to ridicule the military for their own stupidity!

Very frustrating. Most (if not all) are speaking from a limited point if view.
